Question about Cabo Airport

Recommended Posts

I have been searching around for information about the airport, but can't seem to find anything. I am trying to figure out how early guests should get to the airport (in Cabo) for their flight. Since the Sheraton is 30 minutes away, I was trying to factor everything in. Is it the typical three hours before for an Inernational flight?

I would say about 2 hours before to be safe. Our flight was at 1:30pm and the shuttle picked us up at 10am, which was early to me. But I guess they rather have you there early. We went thru Customs and checking in superfast so we were waiting in the airport a good 2 hours.

Last time I went to Cabo we had a shuttle so you don't really get a choice of when they pick you up. They scheduled to pick us up 3 hours before our flight. But they were 30 minutes late so we were there about 2 hours before. It worked out perfectly!

Plus I'm kind of a nervous nellie when it comes to flights. Especially international...you don't know when you can get on the next one if you miss your flight. Stick with 2 hours, IMO.

I have to agree with KAMAY on getting to the airport at least 2 hours in advance, 3 hours is too much, but 2 sounds just right. Customs here isn't a big hassle, and they are cordial. It'll take at least 30min. from Sheraton to the airport, taking the toll road, of course smile78.gif /COLOR]

  • 2 weeks later...

Sure, if 3 hours will give you peace of mind, then 3 hours is ok, but arriving at the airport 2 hours before departure is enough time. Be safe!

Probably a lot of waiting around, but better safe than sorry.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
