Recommended Posts

Thanks everyone for your input! Its so tough to find the right one without being there in person. I can't decided hilton seems pretty nice. But I want to be able to do water activities with our guest. Like scuba, snorkeling etc.. I hear the water is swimable? but is it good enough to do all that activities?

I'm at the Hilton now (since Wednesday). The water is swimmable. The kids like the surf right in front of the hotel. I prefer the "lagoon" at the far end (about 100 feet to the right). Lots of schooling fishes there to see while snorkling. I'm going to Manta on Saturday to scuba. I'll let you know what it's like. I did hear from a couple yesterday that the scuba was great, but to bring a wetsuit (I didn't bring mine bann.gif ).

I met with Tatianna yesterday, I'll find out next week what the pricing will be for my reception. I asked for a bonfire beach reception.

Girlietrigirl, did you need a wetsuit? My wedding is in 3 weeks, also at the Hilton. We were hoping to do a snorkeling trip but wasn't sure if the water would be too cold or not. Tathiana is my WC. I haven't met her yet but she's been good to work with via email.

I was wondering those that married at the Hilton. Does anyone have a map of los cabo. Is there any local grocery stores near the resort? My fiance and I are putting together a tote bag for guests and we want to get some local mexican beers.

Also does anyone know if Feb is an okay time to have a wedding in mexico? We plan on doing alot of water activities.

i did not use a wetsuit to snorkle at the hotel. when we went scuba-ing, bob used a full-wetsuit (rented for like $10) and i got one too, but i did not use mine. I probably would have used a long sleeve water shirt (i had a short sleeve t-shirt on) and that would have been perfect. the wetsuit would have been too "hot" for me, but i don't deal well with being hot in the water, it makes me seasick.

Hi Linhy, I'm also getting married in Cabo, and I 've stayed at the Hilton Los Cabos a few times. If you are a Costco member, there is a Costco not too far from the Hilton. Before we even check in, we always stop in and stock up on water, beer, wine, etc. Its so much cheaper than buying from the hotel, and saves you the hassle of packing tons of soda bottles. On a side note, if you are staying at the Hilton you can bring your own drinks poolside (just be discreet). We buy plastic cups, and pour our drinks in the room and skip out on the $12 drinks at the pool. Your guests will probably already be spending a ton just to get to Cabo, no need for them to pay $6 for a diet coke.

I've stayed at the Hilton and LOVED it, when we got engaged and decided on a destination wedding, we knew it had to be at the Hilton. I on't think you'll be disappointed. The people there are great, they called ahead for any of the activies we wanted to do, and we spent most of our time at the hotel. There was really no reason to leave. They had it all. Great place to be. They make you feel like part of their family.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
