And a little technical issue....I can not read Kates reviews....when I click on those links, it pops up a new screen and then goes right back to the main page...Anyonehuh.gif Thanks so much!
Not sure how I will be able to wait for FEB!
Awesome!!! It'll be here before you know it. We had the same prob with the rooms, but try not to stress. It'll all work out one way or another. And I'll check out what's going on with my review and get back to you on here.

Yes, full take over is all rooms... if you are questioning it, don't do it. We didn't do a full take over but it felt like it bc there was only 1 other couple, they got married there 3 yrs ago and were celebrating with their little one year old. they were beyond nice and respectful... went out on our wedding day... but by that time I would have invited them! It is $5 cab ride to old town or 0.25 for the bus I think. You can't walk, but transportation is cheap and readily available. I actually liked being on the outskirts... quieter and felt more secluded and safe. Some of our guests went out one night and cabed back.

It was so good and we are food snobs for sure. I just can't imagine having people come so far for our wedding and then having a disappointing dinner.

I actually so excited for our wedding week because I know we'll have fantastic food the whole time.

Shreets - I believe you do have to book all 30 rooms for a full takeover, but definitely check with Adam. They may or may not have changed the terms since I signed our contract. PF is just a 5 minute cab ride from town. However, my understanding is that there are not restaurants or bars within walking distance.
AHHHH! It is almost time! So jealous! Wish I could be a fly on the wall... it is going to be fabulous!

You are so lucky to have a site visit... I did everything site unseen. Good thing I have good taste, huh? Bill and I were talking about our fave moments from the wedding and one of his was when we got to PF and the look on my face as we looked over the balcony. Gives me chills, still! I want to go back now!

Hey there, thank you! We used PromoVision PV... and I referred them to Mel too- so glad we have this as a keepsake.
All of the info is on the website... ask for Ray. PromoVision Puerto Vallarta

Hi ladies! I am in love with PF...thanks to everyones great reviews!! I have one question...is PF all inclusive? I've noticed some posts that imply PF is a bit pricey and like most DW brides i'm trying to find the best resort for my guest but also a resort that falls into everyones budget. its so hard to decide. Thanks!

Hi Ursala,

I agree - I'm in love with the place too! From what I've seen on their website - it's not all inclusive. There is an open bar and depending on how many days you're there - there's a couple days were breakfast is included. They have a dinner and entertainment package that you can add on.

Does anyone know if kids pay the same price?

I'm looking at Elizabeth and Michelle, but also a bunch of others that are not associated with the resort. I think that Elizabeth and Michelle both do great work, but I'm sort of afraid of working with them... After looking at all of the photos it seems that they got a little too comfortable with the resort, and that the same pictures are taken over and over but with different brides and grooms. Photography is the most important thing for me (aside from the saying "yes" part with friends and family!) and so I want it to be perfect. I think that there's a quality that comes with looking at things with a fresh set of eyes - I want to be sure that I'm getting the best $ / quality ration possible. And they're not cheap either, so I just want to be sure.

Any bride / bride-to-be here went with an outside photographer?

It's open bar but not all inclusive. However... breakfast is included each day, and we paid for the D&E package. So our guests only paid for lunch and 2 dinners. We were there for 5 nights, so it was close to all-inclusive, but not totally. The breakfast spread is so amazing that most people only ate a light lunch anyways or went into town.

Hey Noob's, Congratulations to all of you!!! You have an incredible journey ahead of you, and it's going to be amazing. Did I speak to any of you via email? Sometimes I can't tell with the BDW user names, and it would be cool to know which girls I may have already chatted with. smile03.gif

I did use an outside photographer; Portland Wedding Photographer and Photography and Portland Portrait Photographer I'm not sure what the current policy is on outside photographers, so it's always good to check.
I actually found him and had my heart set on him before I found Playa Fiesta, so that's why I brought him in. I also wrote reviews on PF and Evrim and posted pictures.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
