Hi ladies,

Can I just tell you, that you are all so wonderful. I just spent the entire evening reading through these postings. We're planning on an oct / nov 2010 wedding at PF as well. But - we're still deciding if its in our budget and our guests budget. The pictures are amazing - and it seems so perfect for what we want.

It seems like Lindsey is pretty flexible in working with you. We're going to be having some vegetarians there - so I want to make sure that we can work with that. One clarification regarding the open bar on the wedding night - is it an additional cost (even if you don't go with premium)? or is it part of the room cost? I'm sure I'll have more questions soon!

Thanks again for sharing! I'm hoping to be a PF bride too! :)

Don't worry, I'm going to have a couple vegetarians too. Both of my sisters are vegetarians. I'll keep you updated on the choices. Yes, the open bar on the wedding night is an open cost. I am in the beginning stages of booking, so I will have many questions too. Good luck! I think it is the best choice! We are going to book soon! :)

Hello,

As far as vegetatian goes there are several options... we had the veggie dumplings for an passed app- they were amazing.

The wedding night is completely seperate- so the bride and groom pay for dinner/open bar that night. I know people will pay for open bar after dinner until 10 then do a cash bar sometimes. Lindsay will help you with your budget and make suggestions based on her experience... remember they do this every week, they know what works!

Remember that Adam and Lindsay are foodies from San Francisco. The food is all amazing I promise! This is above and beyond any destination wedding experience you could have imagined... our guests thought they were at a celebrity wedding and I felt like a celebrity all week. It is quite the experience.

Melissa was right that though it isn't cheap, you can very easily be spending the same amount at another mega resort all said and done... our costs were up front, so maybe hard to swallow at first, but there were no suprises so the wedding week was relaxing/not stressful at all.

Hi Kate!!!

As usual, I agree with everything Kate said. And yes, the food is all really, really good. I can't tell you how many friends asked for the recipes for some of the dishes. One friend even went home and made the beans they serve with breakfast everyday. This sounds weird, but once you go you'll understand. :)

Ha ha!!! We want the wheel too! Maybe I should try to find it for Bryan for Christmas. He's actually the cook in our house. When we were there it was called "Tacos for Two" on the menu.

Hi everyone!! We are getting married at PF on Feb 12, 2010. We are so excited, but seems like the norm.....stressed about the rooms. We have so many people who originally said yes, now saying they can not make it.

And a little technical issue....I can not read Kates reviews....when I click on those links, it pops up a new screen and then goes right back to the main page...Anyonehuh.gif Thanks so much!

Not sure how I will be able to wait for FEB!

Okay good! I'm not so worried about the food now - it sounds fabulous! Do you have to book all 30 rooms for a full takeover? Is PF near town? Are there are other bars / restaurants in walking distance? What other activities did you do outside the hotel? (although a week of drinking and sitting by the pool sounds like a good idea to me!)

Just wanted to weigh in on the food at PF a little bit. We did a site visit last December and the food factor probably was about 75% of our decision. We had almost decided on another location...but the food at our hotel during our site visit was so bad that once we did a tasting with Adam and Lindsay, we knew we had to go with PF. It was so good and we are food snobs for sure. I just can't imagine having people come so far for our wedding and then having a disappointing dinner.

I actually so excited for our wedding week because I know we'll have fantastic food the whole time.

Shreets - I believe you do have to book all 30 rooms for a full takeover, but definitely check with Adam. They may or may not have changed the terms since I signed our contract. PF is just a 5 minute cab ride from town. However, my understanding is that there are not restaurants or bars within walking distance.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
