Yeah they do...I'm talking Jan or March of 2011!!

We were really hoping to do Nov 2010 (it'd be our 10 year anniversary!!) but Adam said that week was already booked (actually, the only week of all fall 2010 not avail!)

Ok, that totally makes sense now! You are way ahead of the game.

:) yeah! I feel like this way everything can be fun and we have something to look forward to instead of having to rush everything and be stressed out ya know! Actually, the main reason we did it was so that everyone would have plenty of time to save $ for a vacation....but it kinda backfired on us because the people we were doing that for all tell us "I don't know if we'll be able to make it--its so far away..." Argh--we suck at finding the happy medium I guess!!! That's whats making it difficult with the minimum room # rented. Ah well, even if we had to pay for some rooms, may be still cheaper than having a 250+ wedding at home! And way more memorable for all! :)

Things are going great for me. Before Lindsay left for vacation a couple weeks ago, she said I was pretty much set. Just waiting for final head count and for people to book their rooms. We still have a couple rooms that haven't been booked yet which is a little bit of a stress.

With the whole swing flu thing, the prices have really come down for Mexico vacations. So everyone seems to be looking for the best deal. I'm just doing my best to sell the whole experience to my guests instead of a budget vacation. I've been to out of town weddings and it's not as much fun if you don't stay with the rest of the group. And that's not even for a beach DW!

I'm sure we will get all the rooms booked, but I also want everyone to stay there for the best experience. I just know that the service they get at PF will be better than the other hotels.

Anyone else in the same situation?

I did have a few friends that were thinking about saving money and staying in a condo, but after it was all over, they told me how happy they were that they stayed at Playa Fiesta. I hope your crew decides to stay with you- they won't regret it!

Oh yeah, but we brought up the cost of taxis to and from, and they'd be on their own for meals not to mention missing out! Everyone was VERY happy they stayed there, well worth the money... and those who didn't come know that they missed out. Let your guests know that they are paying for world class food, service- a once in a lifetime experiance! We just watched our video with friends that were with us tonight..... SO AMAZING!!! I want to go back.

Hi guys,

Just wondering your thoughts on something--since there was only 30-50 ppl at the hotel did you or your guests ever feel bored/were there enough things to keep everyone busy throughout the day? I know we'd have the D&E on some nights--but what about the others? I would hate people to feel bored at a small place as opposed to staying at an all-inclusive resort with lots of other people and activities ya know! undecided.gif

No way!!! It was so amazing. I just saw some guests and they are STILL talking about it.
I was worried about that too though.

I've been meaning to ask you but I totally keep forgetting. I know that when Kate was at PF for her wedding, the beach was still sandy instead of the usually rocky setting.

Was it still sandy for your wedding in May? I know either way I love PF, but was just curious!

Hope you all had a good weekend btw. :)

Very rocky! The water is really fun, though, once you make it out past the rocks. We had a group of guys that body-surfed everyday. The water is really clean and pretty in front of Playa Fiesta.

As far as being bored at PF, there is no way! We had activities 3 out of 5 nights there (D&E Dinner, D&E Dinner, & Wedding). One night we went out for bachlorette and bachelor dinners, and on the last night there almost every person went to dinner at Le Kliff.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
