Just emailed Blaire!!! I thought maybe I was taking it a bittttttt overboard with the planning a whole two years in advance (even tho FI asked me to figure it all out so we can give everyone a year or so headsup). So I just thought maybe it was too soon but this is why I love this site! Alllllll of the helpful info!

Hi Kristy,

Welcome to the PF message board! Don't feel bad about contacting PF if your wedding is 2 years away... we were in the same boat & booked PF in November 2009 for December 2011! Even though we are over 1.5 years out now, Lindsay, Adam & Blaire have already got the wheels rolling & it feels great that we have so much done already! And as you can already see, the ladies on here are AWESOME and offer invaluable help & insight on your PF wedding! Happy planning!!

Awesome!!! Let us know how it goes. It's never to early to at least pay a visit and meet the Playa Fiesta crew. wink.gif I have to warn you, though, you'll probably be hooked once you get there!

Did either of you do a site visit? What did it consist of? We are staying at the Velas (casa velas & velas vallarta) so we won't be spending the night there.
I didn't do a site visit, but I think it would consist of a tour, food tasting, a drink at the bar, meeting Adam and Lindsay... I think it would be fun! I'm not exactly sure of all the details...

Congrats Magalie!!!

Hi Kristy,

We have not yet done a site visit - we'd love to go but I feel like we should forgo the visit and instead put that money down towards the wedding since we already signed the contract! If you're able to go though, I would definitely do it! Couldn't hurt, right?

We just felt really comfortable with all of the reviews & the information the girls on this message board gave so we had no qualms about signing a contact before seeing the actual place. So far we've been really pleased with working with the PF crew!

Good luck!

Congrats Magalie!!!! Hope you are having an amazing time!

Kristy, we didn't do a site visit either. When we were there for our anniversary this year there were a few couples doing a site visit. It mainly consists of a food tasting lunch with Adam and Lindsay. You have a chance to visit with them, taste the food, ask questions, etc. 2 of the couples actually stayed at the hotel so they got a good idea of what to expect as well. If other rooms are unoccupied, they'll open them for you as well.

Hi ladies!

We just got back last night, we were so sad to leave! It was amazing, 1000 times better than expected and worth every stress and added expense. It was perfect, and even better than that. It's soooo worth it! Everyone had an amazing time.

I will try to post a review soon. Pro shots should start coming in about two weeks from now.

I got to meet Kodi & Sara, it was really nice! Sara and her mom were the only other people staying in the hotel while we were there, we got super lucky. We did a 15-room booking and had the whole hotel to ourselves!

I went through the posts that I missed while I was gone, so a big hello to the new ladies on here! I totally get your stress and concerns, but trust that in the end it all works out. We did not do a site visit and we did not regret it - in fact it really wasn't necessary. It's better than the photos. The food really is that great. The reviews don't lie! We did a 15-room booking, and I think that Adam said that we were the first ever to do so. We ended up having to pay for half of the total room cost to make sure that friends could attend, but it was $ worth spending. The room booking was the most stressful part of it all, but it was worth the stress. Good luck in your planning!

Ahhh Magalie! I am SO happy to hear everything you just said! I am SO anticipating your photos!

We are also thinking about doing the 15 room booking so hearing that you did it and it all worked out is great! I'll save other questions until I read your review!

I bet you were a beautiful bride. =) Congratulations!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
