I agree with Magalie, these reports are so helpful in helping us plan, etc. Also, not that I had questioned her before this, but it's reassuring to know you rated Michelle so high :) We're so looking forward to have her shoot our wedding! We got the TR shoot too as well as the photo booth.

Thanks again & CONGRATS!
I finally got a chance to see your website!! It is amazing!!! Congratulations! Your day is getting so close. I miss Playa Fiesta so much, but it honestly makes me happy to see others getting married there, as I know the day (and week) will be incredible. I really còuldn`t have asked for any more. So congratulations again!

Congratulations, Crystal! Thank you for the reviews. Your insight is very helpful to planning - our wedding is May 22nd, the weekend after Magalie's, and is fast approaching! We've thought about cutting the dance floor too. Good to hear that it wasn't absolutely necessary.

Thank you for sharing your slideshow too! I agree - you look stunning and SO HAPPY! Congrats again!

Alright, 2nd dress fitting didn't go too well... the dress DOES NOT look better without the poof. It looks crazy! The seamstress didn't even have any ideas or suggestions, and I only went with that dress because she originally said we could do the alteration no problem. Now I feel like they only said that to get the sale... and I feel that my options are either to get a new dress (with less than one month to go) or to re-poof the dress and pretend that it didn't happen. I'm so sad and frustrated - I really wanted to walk down the isle with the dress way it looked in my head...

Here are pictures. They aren't the best, but they get the point across.

My mom says that it's not that bad... I guess that it feels a lot bigger because it's my dress, my wedding, my vision!

Magalie,

I'm so sorry to hear that it didnt turn out how you imagined. I know that must be so disappointing for you since everything seems to be going so well for you! I would imagine that you actually look BEAUTIFUL in your dress...especially if your mom thinks so. Its hard to tell from the pictures, but it doesn't look bad - it looks like it might be nice and flowy in the breeze - lovely!

So what are your options? Has the shop given you alternatives? Discount on another dress, etc? Another tailor that may give you suggestions?

I hope you're not in a panic - it will all turn out o.k. PM me if you want to! Since we're both about a month away I know how you're feeling...

Thank you Sara! I'm really feeling as though I'm not having a bridezilla moment but the more I think about it, the more it looks like I'm freaking out for nothing. I'll just re-poof it and move on... it won't kill me that my dress isn't as I had envisioned it!

It might look flowy, but it's actually quite stiff on top because of the bottom layers (that I can't remove unless I want the seams underneath showing). They gave me no alternatives, no reassurance, no discounts, no solutions. I kept my composure really well and didn't freak out on them, but I might loose it if they want to charge me to fix their mistake... we'll see in two weeks!

Haha! Sounds like you're doing a great job of not being bridezilla! Well done - especially this close to the wedding. Good luck!

More importantly - How excited are you that you're a MONTH from the wedding!! Hope everything (besides the dress) is going well. Enjoy these last weeks - everyone tells me they go by so quickly!

Question - did you end up getting the dance floor? We're thinking about cutting that out to do some other fun things like fireworks, etc.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
