OOT bags and/or Favors?

Recommended Posts

I am such a bad searcher... I have been looking for a thread i know I saw it

(I think/ I hope) May be going crazy........

So how many of you are counting your oot bags as favors? if you are then do you think guests will expect something after the wedding day?

if you did both what did you do for favors?

Thanks...

We're just doing the OOT bags for those going on the cruise with us. Once we get back, we are having an AHR, but we're just doing hershey bars as favors for those.

What we are going to do once we're done gathering everyone's pictures from the cruise is make a DVD with pics from the cruise and wedding itself and make nice covers and send them out. They will also be our thank you cards for the actual cruise/wedding.

I'm counting the OOT bags as favors.. I'm also including as favors, the Fans-i'm attaching the ceremony programs to them (thanks to the previous brides with the idea), and also a basket of flip flop slippers for those who wore the wrong shoes. I really doubt your guest will be expecting something after the wedding. Hope this helps!

haha I borrowed that same "idea"... which one did you borrow the attached and hanging program or put on the fan itself?

  • 1 year later...

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to bring it back around and see what others are doing about this.

Are you doing OOT bags and favors?

If yes, are you putting the actual favor in the OOT bags or giving them out on the day of the wedding?

I am doing OOT bags and providing nice silk fans on all the chairs for the ceremony.  Is that enough or should I still do something extra?  The budget really doesn't allow for it but I wanted to see what you ladies are doing.

Thanks in advance for the responses!!

Love that idea.  I thought about that too.  Maybe we can fit something like that in.

I like the donation idea as well. I think I'll discuss this with FI since there is a local foundation that he works with here called Shake a Leg (it allows disabled children the chance to do water activities they never dreamed of like sail their own opti with the help of a grown up, or other such things).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
