Satisfying everyone in a fun intimate setting

Recommended Posts

I need an AI resort that is good for everyone coming.

We have children so it has to be kid friendly.

I'm also looking for nightlife to be close because most of our guest will be 25-40 years old and are looking for a good party.

I want a beach wedding

I would love for the resort to have a disco/club to have a reception.

I want the wedding to be in a romantic atmosphere as well, not just a party spot.

I am looking for a quality resort with good prices for my guests.

I was kind of sticking to Cancun because that seems like a party spot but if you know anywhere else, PLEASE HELP!!

Cancun is a party spot. A lot of night life in town/ clubs.... I picked Iberostar del mar in riviera Maya. Even though I have never been to Riviera Maya. I was told it was more layed back...The resort does have a night club and something for everyone and they only do ONE WEDDING a day. The response from the WC have been great. We do love Cancun, but thought we wanted something more intimate and wouldn't do clubs... and stay at resort with everyone and party in club at resort. Hopes this helps.

I really did want it to be Dreams Cancun but the cost seems to add up for 50+ guests

I looove Cancun and it is a party spot, but I'm going to Mayan Riviera for the wedding for a few reasons:

1. The beaches at Cancun resorts are a bit small - it's hard to have a private ceremony.

2. Cancun is kind of Americanized - I wanted a more exotic atmosphere for the wedding

3. My favorite resorts in Cancun are pretty expensive

4. Mayan Riviera resorts are bigger - there's more to do onsite. And if anyone wants to go offsite, there are towns close to most resorts. (Playa Del Carmen is supposed to have a good nightlife)

LOL - this sounds like I'm a salesperson! But I really love Cancun, too and I had a hard time deciding - these are just the reasons that swayed me and FI.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
