We are doing OOT bags. I am still determing the contents, but I am getting some great ideas from the forum. I want to wait until I have a better idea of how many guests are coming to determine how much I want to spend per bag before finalizing the contents.

For favors at RMB and for the AHR, we plan to do donations to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of our grandmothers

How do you ladies find all the time to make all the favors? and you are all obviously really talented to do all the DIY things....my daughter just isn't very creative & she gets that from me. Thats why I LOVE to SEE all the ideas everyone is sharing. Maybe I can find a friend who can help, cuz we NEED HELP desperately !! ( HA HA )

So instead of doing a total OOT bag and then favours we decided to give the very basic (sunscreen, antibacterial lotion, scented tea lights) oot bags with the flip flops in them too and then not do favors at the reception. I think they'll enjoy the gift more if they get them at the beginning of their trip.
I love the idea of doing flip flops, but how are you planning on getting the sizes for all of your guests?

I was in Montego Bay a couple weeks ago for my site visit and we found a store called Bedazzled in MoBay that sells small packages of Blue Mountain coffee and Appleton Rum. They were really friendly, and likely to make you a good deal if you buy a large quantitiy, just an fyi

Hi Amee!! I saw your earlier post about considering donations to a Jamaican charity/foundation... In case you were still toying with the idea I saw that the Rockhouse Hotel has a foundation that is dedicated to improving children's development by building and renovating schools, libraries, etc. Here is the link if you want additional info:

I'm currently working with the partyflops website. I think the prices are pretty reasonable, you do need a minimum order of 45 I believe. If I can get them shipped directly to Negril I'll probably go for it. approx 6 bucks a piece. I've also bought drawstring bags I plan to put them in and some other things. I'll let you know about the product if we decide to go that route.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
