Hey ahoen,

I actually used Aurora China here in Toronto....The shot glasses didnt have pictures on them, which is what all the sample ones I saw had, but I was willing to compromise because I really wanted it to have 3 lines of writing (name, date, location) and none of the places I contacted with the pictures would do that... But they turned out really nice!!

Good Luck!!

wow so many great ideas...we did very small simple OOT bags, cost me about 2$ per person, it was a simple gift bag that i decorated and wrote "welcome" on, i put my jamaica attractions booklet in there with a pamphlet i wrote up with a general wedding day outline/program, a small write up welcome guests and thanking them for coming, a big thank you and the date, and then i purchases sand dollars and wrote location and date on them with gold paint pen, one for each guest. Ive handed these out to those i see regularily 4wks prior to departure, so they can flip through the booklet, and keep the sand dollar at home so it doesnt break, i will have to take some of the OOT bags with me, b/c we have guests coming from england and ottawa that im unable to deliver to :)

Favours im doing very simple green yellow and black jelly beans, i found little woven beachbag favour bags to put them in...super excited, so its costing me next to nothing to do both, but enough to show my guest how much i appreciate them being there :) good luck ladies

We decided to not do OOT bags so much, but thank you bags. I think most people are going to bring the necessities that most people put in OOT bags, so we decided we would rather do a few nice gifts. We are still deciding on final items, but a few ideas we came up with to include: CD of our fav Jamaican hits, possibly a mug or cup with wedding date on it/ names, for the boys- a Red Stripe Tshirt/ red stripe beer mugs, playing cards with a copy of the Jamaican "Kalooki" card game rules, for the girls-some yummy smelling coconut body creme I found a TJ MAXX/Marshalls, Jerk Seasoning. possibly a photo frame as well. We wanted to give them some items that were more like actual gifts as a thank you for traveling and spending the money to be at our wedding.

I just bought those white craft bags from Michael's, and I am making cute orange/pink tags for the girls bags, and blue/green for the boys. I am going to also add tissue paper in them to match the bags. I think these should turn out pretty nice. As soon as i have them done- I will post pics. :) Should be fairly soon- wedding is coming up in a little over 1 month!

Good luck everyone!

We are skipping oot bags. Instead we are thinking about giving out Bubba kegs and I will tie a small thank you card on them. We plan on handing them out to everyone at our welcome dinner (we are expecting most of our guests to arrive at the resort this day) So I wanted everyone to have them in the beginning of the trip so they can use them throughout the vacation. We are also doing luggage tags as the place cards for the reception (my friend has calligraphy handwriting so she will write everyone's name and table number on the card that will be inside the luggage tag) so that will become a favor as well:)

Happy Planning:)

How do you keep the M and Ms from melting?

I'm kind of stuck on the favors and welcome gift bags. I don't know if it's worth it. We're planning on having 80 guests and are throwing a welcome happy hour with cocktail snacks which will cost us about $2,000. I almost think that is enough of  a thank you/welcome. If we do anything, it will probably be an at home burned CD of our favorite wedding tunes/songs. We'll put one in each room with a welcome letter and thank you you for coming.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
