Wonderful! I've heard it's a popular choice for that area.

Good Luck with the rest of your planning! :)

Hello 2010 Brides!! Donâ€t let it overwhelm you try to enjoy your planning. We are getting married on June 25th, 2010 @ Grand Sunset Princess. We are having a private reception in the beach. I can honestly they have been very helpful and have gotten back to me really quick with any questions I have. FYI it doesnâ€t hurt to buy a calling card and give them a call sometimes that helps a lot more. What I like about the hotel is that they let you bring outside vendors even if they charge you for a day pass but at least you do have a choice.. I did pick the mariachi and DJ service the only thing that I brining in is the photographer and videographer. I found someone who quoted me for a better price and more pictures. They charge a $70 day pass but since pictures are very important to me I didnâ€t mind. You can also get your flowers from outside vendors, since the hotel flowers can be expensive. If thereâ€s anything that I can help you with please do not hesitate to email me at Sonia_magana@sbcglobal.net. I went to Playa Del Carmen to make almost all my arrangement hotel, church and flowers. I did get some emails for bus services in case anyone needs for transportation on their wedding day and some emails for flowers stores. Like I mentioned, it doesnâ€t hurt to buy a calling card and call these place you can get a lot more done and get more of an idea…. I do understand about the stressing of your guest paying so much money but do keep in mind that does who want to be with you and attend your special day would do it regardless…I hope I was somewhat of a help. Donâ€t stress out enjoy your planning and remember do what you want to do on your special day!! Happy Planning!!!

I'm personally not getting anything beyond Hep A and B. It's totally a comfort level thing. With most vaccines you are protected for life.
Are you getting married at the Palladium? Which one? I have it narrowed down between the Colonial or the Barcelo. Not sure yet.....

Ladies, When do you plan to send your invites out? Also, I still need a videographer (in Akumal, Riviera Maya)... I don't want to pay a ton of money, but want someone pretty good who will be easy to deal with. suggestions appreciated. I know this is not the right post for this question, but some of you have dates near me and are probably just in the same selection process. :o) - Nicole

we're sending invites out in march. I would do dec or jan (before or after all the holiday card shuffle) if I had your date. I know that Cecilia Dumas works in the Riviera Maya area. She has amazing reviews on here and her quote for our TTD session is reasonable so I'm sure her other packages are as well.

My wedding is May 31st and I planned to send my invites out at the end of December/beginning of January. Also abut the videographer I've read good things about MIGUEL CANTARELL I believe he also goes by Michael Cantarell. He apparently is married to the photographer Claudia Rodriguez. Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
