Hi Ladies :)

My wedding is Feb 18, 2010! So excited!! Almost ready to go! Glad there is still 70 days to go...but the way time flys! Wooosh!

We are getting married at the Grand Palladium Beach Gazebo.

We have 52 booked already...and more are deposited or waiting for prices to drop even more!! ~Carly

Oh...is it really really recommended to get the twinrix...or Hep A & B Vac?

Hello!!! I've booked September 18, 2010 at Dreams Riviera Cancun!!!

I'm so excited! But the only thing I've done is set up a website, register and send out save the dates...

I feel like the next big task is buying a dress :) But I don't feel like I've tried on enough dresses yikes...

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi everyone! I'm a Dreams Tulum bride - July 10, 2010. I just found this thread and there's lots of good information on here! I'm only 6 months out, and right now I'm struggling with TA's and getting packages booked. I've been trying for about 2 months now, and it's not going so well! YIKES! Anyway, once that's taken care of, it will be smooth sailing - I hope! :)

Thank goodness for this forum, it has really helped me minimize some of the stress of planning a DW. No one from my family has ever tried this so I'm on my own.

We are planning on getting married in Nov 2010 but my TA is telling me that we can't book until the flights open up. So many of my family & friends who are planning to join us keep asking "do you have a date yet?" Arg!

Anyhow, I'd like to know if anyone has had the problem with people inviting themselves to your DW? I have a budget in mind and I'm afraid that if people keep adding themselves to the guest list (totally rude!) then I'm going to be way over budget. I've been told that because they figure it's more like a holiday, it's ok to just tag along. We were planning to have the free wedding at RIU Ocho Rios but if people keep adding themselve I'm going to have to pay for an actual package. Has anyone else dealt with this? If so, what is the best way to tell these people no?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
