Congrats 2010 Brides!

We just changed our date from January 2011 to November 12th 2010. We are getting married in Playa Del Carmen at The Royal. We are still waiting for pricing from our TA who says for the date the rates will come out in November. We are however going for a site visit this upcomming November which we are looking forward to.

Good luck everyone

Hey everyone, we're getting married in December 2010 and right now we're trying to pick between the Sandos Playacar, the Ocean turquesa, and the Grand Sirenis (my Fiance really likes this one)...it's such a big decison...so many factors..

HI everyone,

It definitly is stressful when everyone wants to know the all the details and stuff isn't set. I ordered my std and sent those out with a link to my wedding website, but go figure that many people in our family don't even turn on the internet. So I'm explaining everythign verbally, get prepared for a lot of that. My wedding is scheduled for 5/14/2010 at the RIU Palace in Cabo San Lucas, and another little speed bump that I've encountered is that the price in flights keeps fluctuating so my travel consolidator is hesitant to give me a quote on that.

Hey CaboBride 4!!!

Welcome to the forum.

We are date twins!!! I'm also getting married on May 14, 2010 - except our wedding is in the Mayan Riviera.

It's funny though, we almost went with the Riu Palace Cabo. It looks so beautiful, and someone I know went to a wedding there, they said it was amazing! Good choice. cheers.gif

I would highly recommend this web site as they work with you to find the best prices and even offer a interest free payment plan for you and your guests.

Anyways, Congrats everyone!!!

- you both chose a very beautiful resort! My FI went to Barcelo Maya Colonial (it was the newer one when we were there in Dec 2007) and absolutely loved the place. Would have booked our wedding there but decided we wanted to be between Playa and Cancun, to appease our ADHD friends (hehe).

The beach is so beautiful; light posts on the beach make for a very romantic evening walk. The pool is to die for and the buffet was probably the best I have ever had at an AI. Never got sick of it, surprisingly!

Well, congrats to you both! And CaraW, wow, 55 people booked already, that is going to be so fun!

Hi CaraW - we are getting married June 3, 2010 in the Mayan Riviera (resort yet to be confirmed). The invite list is getting a bit out of control, just over 125 pp! Yikes! But I think we will have about 40-60 people; you never know until the book though.

I have some pictures of our trip to Barcelo back in Dec 2006. If you would like to see them send me a PM and I can forward you a link to our site.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
