Hi ladies.

I am glad to see this post for all the 2010 brides. I started to get a little worried that I would not get to post and share ideas, because it seemed all the other post were for brides getting married in 2009.

I am in the process of planning my wedding for May 2010, on Isla Mujeres, Mexico. I have been in touch with a nice lady who is a wedding coordinator for weddingslslaMujeres. I have fallen in love with her pictures as well as her plans for the ceremony and reception.

The good thing is she has already sent me her prices and of course most things can be done to fit around your budget. Which I am thankful for.

I have yet to send out Save The Date cards. I plan to send the cards out sometime at the beginnig of May. And along with STD cards, a little note letting everyone know that my FH and I are planning to have a get to together and let you know about our plans in detail. This way everyone can get excited about joining us. I plan on putting together packets to give out containing passport info, hotel info, flight, and info about the island.

I want to do it this way because as you know, money is tight for everyone. And we want our guest to be able to afford to come and the more information they have the better they are able to save for some FUN IN THE SUN!

SORRY for the long post!

Hi I'm planning for the first week in Jan 2010 after new years. Iam aming for Dominican Republic Punta Cana. I also am having trouble getting pricing (at least at a reasonable rate) as like everyone is finding out the Prices for Jan 2010 arn't yet out, thus they are estimating costs for next year and prices are coming back high! I have been told by the 5 TA's i have working on getting me the bast price that in a few more weeks when the prices actually come out prices should get better. I have sent out emails to my guests informing them of our plans to give them the time to save if they wish to attend. I have also infromed them that the invite with more details will follow when I get resort and prices narrowed down.

Hi ladies.

I know this is WAAAY early for some. But I have seen some of the best ideas for the OOT guest bags. I want to go ahead and start picking up some things.

One idea I love, posted by another bride here, are the monogram cups that change color. Such a cute idea. Girls and Guys will love them. And they will surely be used. You have to order 250, so any 2010 brides who would also like to split the order....let me know

So what do you plan on putting in your OOT bags?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
