Hello everyone! I'm so happy to be here! I'm looking forward to getting advice from you all... there is a ton of info on this forum. First off, I am not engaged at the moment, but my live-in boyfriend and I were just discussing our future wedding and I convinced him of a DW rather than a traditional one, (he's very happy about that too because he hates big formal affairs). I know the official engagement will happen within the next couple months so now I'm just trying to do some preliminary research.

Hi Danielle! I'm in the exact same boat as you are! My boyfriend and I aren't engaged, however we have decided to do a destination wedding when the time comes. I really love the idea of being prepared when I get engaged. That way, I won't spend so much time stressing about wedding stuff, but I'll have a plan. I think I will better enjoy my engagement this way!

Where are you thinking of getting married? Do you have any requirements, such as adults only, all inclusive, beach, large or small resort?

Welcome to you Danielle. The ladies and Jason and the other guys are a wealth of knowledge, so take advantage of them. You certainly are not alone, being w/out official engagement. I don't think it is ever too early to begin planning out all of the special things you want for your wedding. This forum is where you will find all of the information and guidance you will need. If we don't have an answer for your questions, someone will help you find it.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
