OMG no more dates available at Dreams Tulum!!!

Recommended Posts

I am very worried....I was planning on booking my wedding at Dreams Tulum today when I learned that there was no more wedding time available that week...( there is but not after 4 business days so my wedding is not legal )

I don't know what to do... I was so excited, I had my credit card in my hands when my agent told me, wait a minute, they are offering you wednesday at 5:00pm...( which is 3 days after my arrival )

Did it ever happen to anobodyhuh.gif? Does the 4 days really matter? And to make it worst, the lady on charge of the weddings doesn't response to our e-mail or phone calls....What a nice way to start a week end!

Hi there!

Though I'm not staying at Dreams Tulum, I can say that this was my problem and my TA assured me that the Iberostar Paraiso Beach was willing to make an exception for me. There is no set amount of days you have to be in Mexico to have a civil ceremony, it's just something that most hotels/resorts put in place so that they have the proper amount of time to get everything ready with the Judge and your blood tests etc. Talk to your TA and see if DT is willing to do this for you. You could always just do a symbolic ceremony and get married before you leave or after you get back in Canada. Lots of girls on this forum do that.

Let me know how it turns out! Good luck!! wink.gif

You could always get legally married at home before like a lot of women do. We are getting married before we leave and just doing a "symbolic ceremony" there. That might help you out a bit. You can also ask for either Anabel or Natalia-they are both wedding assistants there. Emails for them are :

The wedding coordinator at our resort also made an exception and is allowing us to have a legal ceremony even though it will be before the "4-day rule". We just have to go immediately to complete the documents so they can get them to the judge and do our blood work right away so that they can get the results in time for our wedding. I would check with your wedding coordinator. They didn't budge at first for us but after a few emails they said it would be ok.

Good luck!

Thank you so much girls.

I wrote Natalia an e-mail saying that I wanted the 17th at 5:00 pm if she manages to make it legal... Worst comes to worst, we'll get married here when we get back....wow 2 weddings instead of one! And we are having a reception here on july 11th!!!

I'll keep you girls posted!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
