Really want to do a TTD session!!!

Recommended Posts

I have my heart set on doing a TTD session a day or 2 after our wedding. We are getting married May 4, 2009 at the Moon Palace in Cancun. We are using the resort photog for the ceremony and reception, which is fine. But, MP doesn't allow any outside vendors unless they are your "guest", which means we would have to pay for a extra room and they can come for an hour or 2 and do the TTD session... which seems like a waste of money & room! I'm wondering if anyone here has run into this problem and if there were any photog's that were willing to do a TDD session somewhere else.. public beach or something of that nature. Somewhere we could just meet up and do the shoot? Any advice or suggestions?

There are many photogs who are willing to meet you at another location off your resort ~ in fact, I think most couples do their TTD sessions somewhere other than their resort to get a background/atmosphere that is different from their wedding day pictures. So I don't think you'll have any problem at all! rolleyes.gif

Next step would be finding a local photog who offers TTD session since you're using the resort photographer for the wedding day, and luckily in the Cancun/RM area there are plenty! Off the top of my head I know there is.... (you can google all these names and find their websites):

- Claudia Rodriguez

- Cecilia Dumas

- Vanessa Vargas

- Michael Maurus

- Del Sol Photography

- Elizabeth Medina (she lives in another part of Mexico and requires at least 1 night stay - this is her policy at least for weddings)

- Moments that Matter Photography

- Playa Weddings

- Octavio Montes

Can't think of anymore at the moment, but I'm sure you'll have no problem finding someone who can fit your needs and budget ~ can't wait to see the final product wink.gif TTD sessions look like so much fun! humble.gif

Hola! I did my trash the dress session on a public beach in Tulum. It's just south of the Tulum Ruins, so you can imagine how beautiful the water was. Plus, we went right away in the morning so the beach was empty. It was awesome. I will definitely go back there and I highly recommend it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
