You are such an inspiration to all of us newbies on this forum. It is so rewarding to see that you can do it yourself. I am making so much stuff for our wedding and sometimes it seems both daunting and endless. Seeing all of your stuff come together makes me know it will all be worth it in the end. You did such a fabulous job. Your review and this post are like my planning bible! I love what you did! Watch out for posts from me because I am going to follow your lead like it's my job! You are amazing!humble.gif

Sarah~

Would you please tell me the info you included on your program fans? I can kind of see the tops of each page (General info, wedding party, ?, ceremony). I'm working on mine now and think I'm missing things!!!

Also, if you and hubby have grandparents (and they didn't attend), did you still include their names in the program? We have 4 grandmas and 1 grandpa (still living) and 1 grandma and (maybe) 1 grandpa are going to Mexico. Would like to honor deceased, but still mention the others even if they aren't in Mexico- not sure how though.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Amy

Amy, if you PM me your real email, I can send you my copies in Word.

I have both grandmothers, but that's all the living grandparents we have. Neither are healthy enough to venture to Mexico! So, to be honest, we didn't even think about including them in the program. I'm very close to my paternal grandmother in particular, but we just didn't feel the need to put that there...such a small wedding. You could definitely use one leaf of the program for honoring grandparents (or just add them under parents) or a leaf to honor the deceased. You really can do whatever you want with the programs- with as few or many pages as you want to deal with...

My MIL made me bring my planning binder with all my samples EVERYWHERE for the last month before the wedding. I mean every family get-together, party, meeting, etc- she wanted to show everything off. Even at my shower, she had one of my invitations on the table and kept going and getting it to show people- too cute. My parents weren't too blown away because they're used to me by now! lol

At the wedding, my parents and MIL said people were stopping by the reception to comment on things and they kept going on and on about how I did everything. They kept seeing things like the personalized candles, luminarias, menus, fans, etc and kept exclaiming "I didn't know you did that Sarah!" the whole night- ummmm yeah, what do you think was in the 4 suitcases of crap I brought with me!? lol

Anyway, there are so many great ideas on this forum now that weren't around when I was planning- I wish I could go back and do it all over again because there is soooo much more I would like to do!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
