Guys are going fishing, what should the girls do?

Recommended Posts

With only just over three weeks to go til we depart for PV, I am trying to come up with a fun thing for the girls to do while we are there...

The guys are all chartering a boat and heading out to fish for about 4 hours on one of the days we are there... I need something fun for the girls to do! We range in ages from late twenties to early seventies, and some of us are not as adventurous as others...

I thought about chartering a van and doing some sort of shopping thing - that may still be an option... but are there some other cool things that someone can suggest?

Thanks!

Jenn

hmmm, I was going to suggest one of the ziplining tours but with such an age range I am not sure about that.

What about the day trip to Las Caletas? boat leave at 8-9 in the morning...then you spend the day at Las Caletas either swimming, relaxing, suntanning, getting massages....might have something for everyone?

do you know where the guys booked a boat through? I think my FI and his guys want to do the same thing one day but I am not sure what the best place is to book that. Let me know how it all goes when you get back!

While the guys are out deep sea fishing us gals are going to be relaxing on a catamaran! We are going to charter a catamaran for a few hours and soak up the sun with some beverages!

I was going to pay to charter the catamaran but our budget is out of control - I mentionned the idea to some of our guests/girls to see if they'd be interested and every single girl said they'd be in and asked how much it would cost. I just figured that I'd divide the cost by the number of us on the boat and everyone can pay their portion! (although FI and I might still cover more of the cost to bring it down for everyone else)

I love the idea of the catamaran. Who are you chartering it with? What about the fishing trip?

I like the catamaran idea... I will have to do some research. As far as the fishing trip, I will see if I can get the info from the Best Man - he has done all the looking into... I know that there are many that offer it.

Doing the zip line is out... I bet almost everyone would go (and know that many are planning to) but I am TERRIFIED to!!

I'll post any info I can find out...

We just got back from our wedding in PV... Playa Fiesta is about a mile from dreams:)

So I racked my brain about this... the guys went fishing (PS... don't be alarmed if they are gone much longer than 4 hours, I guess it is usually more like cool.gif

In the end we didn't plan anything for the girls and it was perfect. The guys are such busy bodies so the ladies enjoyed hanging around the pool, playing cards, margaritas, etc. We ordered lunch poolside and then about 11am a bunch of us decided to go snorkeling near Mislamoya (Not far from you)... we were gone 2 hours, 1 hr of snorkling was plenty. We had 8 girls, 4 younger and 4 older. Fun. If some want to come along and not snorkel they can shop- cheap vendors right there- and a really cool beach. It is in the mountain part so almost junglish.

So what my advice is, dont worry about making it equal time. Even if you just do a brunch and let the ladies decide on their own would be great too! It is really nice to have a day without the busybody boys:)

yeah I would do the catamaran! Some people can snorkel, some can just hang out.

Here - I got this email from Puerto Vallarta Tours:

Hi there Jessica! Thank-you for contacting us, I'll be more than happy to help you. If you have in mind a tour where you can whale watch do some fishing and some snorkeling. the best option is to go with our 21' Catamaran that fix up to 40 people max. for you and your party. This boat you can chose for 4,6 or 8 hours. The price for 4 hours private is $650.dls, 6 hours $795.dls and for 8 hours is $995.dls. This Catamaran runs daily and private charters depart on your schedule, you can choose - it's your boat for the day also this boat includes: 39 foot catamaran / trimaran, snorkeling equipment for up to 20 people, restroom, fresh water shower, ice, water, life vests, 4 fishing poles, captain and crew. This boat departs from 'Marina Los Peines', next to the Naval Hospital, you would need to take a taxi from you hotel as this is the only marina that this boat leaves out of and this company does not offer any transportation. For an optional price you can order Box Lunch ($10.00), Case of Beer ($20.00) to be paid at marina on the day of the tour, Lunch or activities on the beaches. For this boat, you can pretty much leave at the time you wish, go snorkel at one of the best locations here in Puerto Vallarta, go fishing, stop at one of the beaches for lunch, what ever you tell the captain to go and he would even recommend where to go. Here is the link with all the information of the tour: Charter a Private Snorkeling Catamaran / Trimaran in Puerto Vallarta. • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
