Casa Dorada Brides Post Here.

You should feel free to reach out the hotel. Maybe send an email asking them to confirm that they have received your deposit. The resorts in Mexico tend to function on a more relaxed pace than an eager American bride (I'm not casting stones - I was one too!). =) I regularly sent emails to the hotel about various issues and, if I didn't hear back in a couple days (rare that this would happen with the Casa Dorada), I would send a follow up email or even call. And, you shouldn't wait for the hotel to initiate discussions about your wedding planning or you may not do anything until a couple months before. You should be affirmative and contact them, so everything will be in order for your big day.

I also posted a Casa Dorada wedding review. It was originally a part of this thread, but I think it got moved to the "Wedding Review" folder. So look for it there, if you want to read it. (Incidentally, Sandra (Cabobride09) is making me look bad because her review includes photos, which mine doesn't. Nice review, girl.) =)

hi!  I couldn't see that you replied (I'm new so not sure if I can "Subscribe" to this thread..)  anyway, I think I did read your review. you gave people grades, right?  (A, A+, etc.) I just want to make sure I have the right person and details so I don't ask you questions you already posted the answers to.  you used Mariachi Mi Tierra, rght?

What do you think about the deck being above the Mango deck (did I understand that correctly?)  where did you go for beach pics, if anywhere?  I understand the beach is pretty crowded...  is there a private section for CD only?  thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
