Snow Days are going to ruin my WEDDING!

Okay so not really but...

We are having our 2nd snow day in a row tomorrow and don't get me wrong typically teachers love snow days. That is unless you have a plan to catch to MEXICO. With tomorrows snow day we will be at 4. Which takes my school schedule up to the Wednesday before we leave! We leave Monday morning at 6:00. I was hoping to have week before the wedding to finalize stuff.

While everyone else is celebrating the snow I am cursing it!!

Oh, well I can't fight mother nature. I guess I will be forced to go build a snowman or have a snowball fight tomorrow!!

I'm also working in a school and the snow days are making me a little crazy...we don't leave until July so it's definitely not as nerve-wracking as your situation, but those last couple of weeks will be needed to finalize everything for me too...tomorrow will be our 3rd snow day and I'm sure there's more to come...

I am a teacher here in Ontario and we have had 2 snow days so far this school year. Unlike you in the States (from what I have heard...) we don't have to make them up at the end of the year. Last year, I had 9 altogether!!!!! I am hoping for more for my sake, but not yours!! Save up your personal days!

WOW!!! Teachers in your area get 15 personal days!! I get 2 and have already had to take them, one for a friends wedding and the other for my FI's grandmothers funeral (since we are not married, she was not 'family'). Getting a sub is not as easy as most think. My classroom would be wild if I had a sub the last couple of days.

We have already had 4 snow days. I can have to 2 more and will be okay. So I am hoping February and March are quiet months!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
