Hesitating between Dreams Tulum and GP Kantenah...

I wouldn't go so far as to say you can barely swim at Dreams Tulum. While I was really disappointed in the beach (because other places I'd been to previously outside the mayan rivera had awesome beaches) you can definitely still swim, there are some places that are more clear than others.

I don't know if the beach at the grand palladium is much better. I remember when I doing my research I looked at that resort and the beach was probably about the same.

Here are links to some aerial photos that show the coral/rocks in the water. I guess the palladium does seem to have one decent sized clear area. Dreams Tulum has a clear area as well towards the left (just outside the photo). It's not totally clear but more then the rest of the beach.

Good luck with your choice!

We are getting married at the GP. We actually stayed there back in October and thought it was great. It is a very large resort but, we didn't mind. They have trolleys driving around that you can hop on and even the bell boys that drive around on golf carts will drive you if you flag them down. Everyone was very nice and accomodating. We did get lost a few times at first while walking around but got to see a lot of the naturaly beauty (forest like walkways, animals, etc). The beach was fine for us, we did a lot of boogey boarding and swimming. There are some rocky parts depending on where you venture off to but for the most part we were fine. Just have to be aware and careful where u step. We floated instead of walked wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
