Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you that Maggie and Tadd are in Riv. Maya as I type. They left MN yesterday morning and are visiting 5 Hotels and hoping to make their decision on which one for the wedding. They will be back Sunday night. If they pick one we can then get going on the STDs. YIPPEE!

Thanks, I think I should have gone too! I am so jealous. I want to be sun-drenched and warm and drinking fun drinks. Oh well, I'll just stay here and do my research and bug all of you guys!

So, yesterday they went to Azul Beach, which they liked, but they wanted to be down further on the Yucatan. Then they had an appointment with Fairmont Mayakoba...I think she said this one was very expensive. Today they went to Ana Y Jose and loved it. After that they were going to Dreams Tulum and Esencia. I am hoping she will post her thoughts on all of them next week. Then she can tell you why she loved Ana Y Jose.

Unfotunately, Maggie and Tadd both have terrible colds so I'm sure they aren't enjoying it as much as they could be, but I'm sure they will try to survive all of the sun, the heat, and did I mention the fun drinks?

Thanks for your interest, that's nice of you!

Lizzy I am shocked they didn't take you. After all you have been putting in so much work and time into their wedding planning. Hopefully you can give us their review of experiences once they get back. Please tell Maggie and her FI that we hope they feel better and that they are enjoying their trip. I also hope that they take lots of pics to post for all of us dying to see and hear all about it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
