it drove me bonkers!!! i think the main reaosn why is that i'm personally so organized and really adhere to deadline and things of that nature, so when other people don't, I just get enraged because I know it's not that difficult!

Do people really not know if they're going to be attending a DW a month beforehand?!! Haha, my RSVP deadline will be SEPTEMBER and my wedding isn't until next May! I guess I'm "lucky" in that Tammy informed me that Dreams booked up for this May by last October already, so if people don't RSVP and book ahead of time they won't be going no matter what!

Girls, this seems to be a universal problem. I was so fricking pissed at my husband's family because they did the exact same thing you are describing. Just do what you need to do to feel comfortable & let go. You can't force people to RSVP (this is what I learned anyway).

I think Christa and I used to b%*$ about this ALL the time!

The kicker was the friends that had JUST gotten married, so they had JUST been through the same crap, and would tell me that they've been "too busy" to RSVP. Baffled me!

Honestly, I think almost everybody goes through this RSVP crap. My advice is to just count the people that have said Yes FOR SURE, and don't waste your $$ on the other slackers. I'm sure adding people later won't be as big of a deal as the vendors are making you think.

Good luck, and relax... the wedding is so much fun regardless of all the pre-wedding stress smile29.gif

Uggh this is one of my worst pet peeves. I hate people who don't take the time to do a simple task that will take literally 5 seconds to do. I don't know how much easier you could make it for them Jessica. People are just so rude. The first thing I do when I get a wedding invitation is check my calender, call my FI and see if we can attend. Then I immediately check the RVSP card and fill it out and mail it the next time I go the mailbox. It takes two seconds. I was invited to a DW in Vegas and I couldn't go b/c of my job. So I sent the RSVP card with a letter wishing my friend the best of luck and apologizing b/c I couldn't make it, and I bought a gift off their registry and sent it to them soon after. They were so grateful for the quick RSVP. There is no excuse for being lazy and rude when someone has been gracious enough to invite you to an event.

Anyway, you know the worst... was when I'd go over to people's houses and they would hand me my RSVP, with unused stamp and all. It's like, gee, thanks!
Ugh!!! That totally happened to me. How annoying!

Karla - good to see you girlie!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
