I have been searching and searching and can't seem to find what I want so I decided to come to the experts. This is what I am looking for, wording for our AHR invitation including this information.

Our names (Dave and Ashley or The Powers)

The fact that we already got married (perhaps including the location-Riviera Maya or the beach)

Idea that this is an "Open House" type event

Idea that it is a celebration (not a reception since it is not a sit down w/dancing)

Thanks for all of your help!

This is what I used for my AHR invites, but we are having a formal reception:

Together with their parents

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph xxxxxx

and

Mr. and Mrs. Paul xxxxxx

Anna Elizabeth xxxxxxx

and

Derek Paul xxxxxx

are happy to announce their marriage

that took place on

January tenth, two thousand and nine

on the beach in Ocho Rios, Jamaica

We invite you to share in the joy

of their marriage

Please join us in celebration

Saturday, the twenty-fifth of April

Two thousand and nine

What kind of food are you going to have, a full meal or just hor'duerves? I think that makes a difference on how you word it.

We have having a BBQ. So it could be a full meal. But we there will not be an eating time. We want the guest to know that they can come anytime during the time range. Stay for a while and then head out.

I would be okay with not have an AHR, but we have a large group who are not going to Mexico and want something here.

Maybe say something like:

Please join us in celebration

We are having an informal open house starting at 1:00.

I can't think of any clever ways to say it. You pretty much just have to write what it is. I think if it says open house, people will understand they can come anytime.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
