Any Excellence Riviera brides

Recommended Posts

Ok, I think we have finally decided to have the destination wedding at Excellence Riviera (the cancun location). I would love to hear from some folks who have been to weddings there or are planning weddings there.

Thank so much!

Well, that means that you don't want to hear from me... but I wanted to send my congratulations on choosing a location. I hear that's the hardest step. Well, besides finding the man of your dreams!

Hi Darlsay,

Congrats!

I have never been to ERC but Loreta has, she is leaving this Saturday and getting married next weeksmile159.gif Mary (MC23) has set her date for May 2008.

WOW, you are done? I have just finalized everything with ERC-Ariadna the WC is great. My wedding is going to be small (10) but then we are having a AHR.

Are you doing or planning any activities?

Best,

Denise

Hi Denise,

Congrats to you also.. Ariadna has been great to work with. We are having the ceromony at noon on the beach. Cocktail hour with the Carribean Trio on the beach and then a plated dinner off the lobby. We chose flowers, menu (with Ariadnas suggestions) and are probably going with the house photographer. We've decided to go with the gold package and upgraded to the Honeymoon suite, Can't wait. This place is amazing and I love the fact that the reviews on TA are consistantly great. Please let me know how everything goes for you. Have a great time and if there is anything that I may be able to answer for you, ask away.

Oh, planned activities. We have nothing planned as of yet. We have done the ruins before with the zip line which was great. This time I am considering Isla Mujeres (spelling?) but really don't mind not leaving the resort at all. I also want to do the short snorkeling trip right from the hotel. Also want to walk along the beach to Puerto Moreles for some shopping and bar hopping.

What about your activities?

Hi!!!

We are also doing the beach ceremony but I am going with the silver package that does not inlcude the honeymoon upgrade. I am not sure where I will be having my cocktail hour yet, I feel the lobby may be too big for us. With that being said, have you seen pics of that huge chuppah? I am trying to figure out if it will look stupid over my small intimate wedding. Did you stay ERC during your site visit? Ariadna has been a blessing! Everything has been great except my cake is really ugly. Since my wedding is so small, I am not going to upgrade ($150) my cake so I am just going to live with the one tier thing they offer with my package.

Elizabeth Medina is my photographer and Loreta is using Sol Tamargo. Do you have any pics of ERC? Could you PM me? smile124.gif

Let me know if I can help you although it seems as though you are right on top of everything that you do not need anything:)smile159.gif

Best,

Denise

Darslay,

I'm so glad you have had such a great experience so far. It really helps me relax knowing you have done two site visits. I know we have all made the right decision as to where to have our weddings; just out of curiosity, what other places did you look at, and what made you finally decide on ERC?

No we did not stay at ERC during our site visits. 1st time we stayed at the El Dorado Royale and the next time at the Le Meridien in Cancun. We had also visited Azul Beach and Occidental Grand in Aruba. What sold us on ERC was the pools, rooms, brands of spirits/beer and just overall beauty of the property. Plus, read Tripadviser.com and see the consistantly great reviews.

Yes, I do have pictures but I don't know how to send them to you on herehuh.gif lol. Do you want me to e-mail you some?

I am worried about the photographer and really want to go with someone else but Troy isn't much of a poser and think it would be a little much for him.. I'm still considering to upgrade though.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
