It's four months till our wedding and last night I had my first wedding related nightmare... popcorn.gif

I'm in a family friends house and for some reason decide to ask if I can rent their room while they go on vacation. They say yes for $39 per night (random). I somehow decide that I will invite all my friends and family for our wedding. Next scene I am just lounging and relaxing and some people I know are there but most are strangers. This woman is reading my palm casually and says "hmm there is a break in your marriage line". What? So in the dream I was confused and began to feel really sad but the next thing I remember is that someone tells me that the photographer is here and needs me to be ready. I start feeling really stressed because I'm not ready AT ALL. I run out to this lovely garden (i guess where my wedding was to be) and my two best friends are scurrying about setting up things and i tell them the photographer is here and then one says "well go get ready.. but before you go- who is in charge of food during cocktail hour?" I become confused even more and run inside and ask some woman in the kitchen if she is in charge of food and she tells me no. She tells me that I was supposed to bring my own food and prepare it!! So i'm super stressed I start rummaging through the fridge and find all these half opened box of crappy apps that you would get at the grocery store and am freaking out. The next thing I remember is that I look out the window and the sun is almost completely set. I'm like running around telling people that we lost the light and would get no photos. Terry was just hanging around totally relaxing while this was all happening too. I was so upset when I woke up...

** Thank god this was just a dream. Anyone else have these? The last time I had this sort of thing was when i was really burnt out on waitressing and would wake up really stressed thinking I forgot to bring a ketchup btl to someones table or something.

I've had a wedding nightmare when we first decided to have a DW that we got to the resort and the day we were going to get married I went down to the gazebo and there was a mass wedding of like twenty couples and I started freaking out and asking why everyone else was there and then at the end of each couple getting married they would throw us in the pool (random i know)..it wasnt a long dream because i wasnt far into planning at that point but it scared me i guess that i would go to a resort and it wouldnt be just MY day. who knows why, maybe because i heard some resorts do more than one weddding in a day...no sure lol

I had one the other night-I had a dream that I was getting ready for the wedding and I forgot who I was marrying. I kept thinking-why am I here? Where is the man I going to marry? I kept thinking about it and then I remembered-hello, I live with Jay-I am marrying Jay!

I am sure that as the wedding gets closer I will have more anxiety dreams!

This is a great thread, Yamille!

I have a weird one to share because it happened after the wedding. Yup, our WD was Dec 12 and I had this one around the 28th, before going back to work after the holidays.

We were getting married in some big chalet in the mountains in a candelight ceremony (could it be a more different venue than the real one?) THere were millions of rooms (like a hotel) and my sisters were running around all ready and I couldn't find my dress. When someone finally brought it to me, it was dirty (from our wedding) and it didn't fit. Everyone was already at the site downstairs waiting and I couldn't even get my legs into the dress. It was horrible!

DH was like "it's done! you're stuck! why are you still having wedding dreams?" LOL! blush2.gif

I love it. Interesting that you had the dream after the fact. I wish I could analyze dreams. I think mine was anxiety based and then Melissa's I think was anxiety about "taking the plunge" in her dream literally in the pool which is so funny. But not sure about the others.

I rarely remember my dreams unless they are really more like nightmares actually. I thought more people would have these to share but I guess not. I would be curious to hear others. I am torn as to whether I think dreams have a deep meaning or whether sometimes it's just thinking about a bunch of experiences and images from the day that make up the dream. Jung would disagree....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
