We will definately have to meet up after you arrive! or you can check out our ceremony & reception decor when you get there. Our wedding is at 5 on the beach with the ceremony following on the beach. We picked the PB Sunset collection. We are doing the 2 hour reception, but paying extra for the DJ to stay 3 hours & are having a dance floor. I am taking extra decor for the ceremony because all we have is the arch & white chairs. I am taking fushia satin chair sashes & having the resort make some decor out of bamboo sticks (7' tall) and wrapping them in ribbon so the excess ribbon will blow in the wind at the top to stake in the sand by the aisle. I am also bringing freeze dried flowers for the aisle & flower girl to throw and making program fans for each guest.

Is anyone doing OOT bags? If so what are you putting in them & when do you plan on giving them out. We are doing them & so far I am putting in mugs.....and I don't know what else yet or when to give them out. We have guests coming in on Saturday & Monday.
thanks so much for that info. We were planning on the sunset wedding, I actually just switched it last week, I figure I can use that money to do my own decor which i was doing anyway and it seemed like i was really paying the extra $ for the sunset.
i am in the process of getting table decor and decor for the ceremony now.
what did you decide to do about the photographer? I just hope that the onsite personis good quality I want great pictures
I am also getting together OOT bags, I am putting in lil things like sunblock, chap stick, monogrammed koozies, packs of tylenol and i am going to leave them in the rooms. I found these really great startfish wine bottle stoppers i am putting at the tables for gifts also. Beau-coup.com has great gifts for a good $
im getting really excited how about you??

Thanks Hockeymom! I wish I had more time to read through the posts because it seems the answers to most questions are here somewhere.

I think I'm going to buy an aisle runner here and take it down along with OOT bags and favors. My fiance and I will go with real flowers and everyone else can use the real touch which I'll buy here too.

Everything else I'll deal with when I get there. I had all these visions a few months ago but now I just want this over with and to have a good time. The most important thing is to exchange vows..the rest are the details which at the end of the day won't matter.

Thanks for the info about the photog. I feel so much better. My cousin is attending the wedding no matter what so this works out perfectly for me!

We have thought about going to Rick's Cafe, but don't really know if we want a full on bar scene. We don't want to spend a fortune, either. Any suggestions?
Hi Jess,
Wild thing water sports offers a private cruise @ $50 per person minium of 40 ppl. I think that you can also do a non provate cruise @ $50. per person...

Hi all, Im new to the website and I am planning my destination wedding in 6 months- Weding day is jan 6th at BEaches NEgril at 4.00pm.

I am expecting about 50 ppl from different countries and would like a gd experience for them so i chose the $75 PP dinner but will get back $15 pp as we are booking more than 10 rms.

I plan to be wed on the beach gazebo and am trying to get the flowers , invitations, colors to match, favors etc. Gosh its stressful.

What do you think about reception locations? I really want people to dance but would like some privacy too.

I want people to dance as well, but I'm thinking that you probably have to rent a dancefloor? Unless you can have the reception by the pool or something? I haven't really received information from Amber in regards to where we can have the reception yet, so this part is still up in the air for us.

Hi,

I am getting married at Beaches, Negril on November 8, 2009 at 3pm! I am super excited and obviously a bit nervous. We have purchased the $2400 photo and video package and i was wondering if anyone had a video we could see?

Also, what kinds of locations are there for the receptions and what kinds of additional options do they give you when you get there?

Thanks,

Rhonda

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
