I am having the hardest time deciding on a photographer! This has been the one thing that I just cannot decide on. I keep going back and forth between Juan Carlos, Claudia Rodriguez, Del Sol, and the list could go on. I really would love to have some input from other people out there that either had a difficult time making this decision or are going through the same thing.

I really would like to stay around or under $3500 but I want to still have the photographer for plenty of time during the day so they can capture all of the wonderful moments.

So if anyone can help... please please please do!

If photography is as important to you as it seems, you may want to consider looking for a local photographer to take along? This will give you a chance to possibly see thier work in person and make sure personailities would work well on your wedding day.

There are a lot of photographers that are fairly new to the destination wedding end, and would be happy to cover weddings for not much more than travel expenses. That might help keep you under your budget, but allow you to have full day coverage.

Have you contacted those three photographers? I agree that their work is all great... but honestly I think that budget would only allow for one of them in that list...

And if you still want to add more photographers to your list and confuse yourself even more, do like Macphail has mentioned and contact some local photographers to fly down to your wedding with you. I think you'll be happily surprised that your $3500 budget will not only get you a great photographer, but most likely include coverage for three days!!

I went back and forth as well. Some on your list were too expensive for me. I ended up with Rafael Ibanez and I'm thrilled. He has been great to email, great reviews from other brides, more reasonably priced, extremely helpful.

Also my FI does photography as a hobby so he had the final say. We looked at each photogs gallery/portfolio on their website as well as watched their blogs. The one that we both fell for was Rafael!! RAFAEL IBAÑEZ

I looked at Rafael Ibanez too, thanks to DallasAshli and Magda and my curiosity - WOW! Now if I could just look up his website so I can get his pricing!

Sascha Gluck might be another one to consider also - very nice work from what I see on the website.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
