Anyway, so any of you ladies know if this count is something Emeline will want with the final count or can the guests decide day of during the cocktail hour or something?

Thanks.
Hi all! Just dropping in to say hi. I haven't posted in a LONG time.

Regarding the meal question, Emeline wanted my numbers at least 1 month in advance. On my response card, I included the meal choice of beef or chicken and gave her the numbers in advance. Unless you do a buffet, I don't think you'll get away with giving no specific plate counts because food needs to be ordered in advance. Just my 2 cents....

  • 1 month later...

I got an email from Emeline yesterday confirming our selections from our tasting and giving me the pricing of the items we picked. GREAT NEWS - It seems like the prices are lower in some cases than what it stated on the menu price list! I am not sure why but I am NOT going to question it!

Here is the break down:

Hors d†oeuvres passed on trays ( please confirm how many pieces of each ):

Mini pizzas for kids: $ 3.00 per piece

Quiche Lorraine: $ 4.00

Mini shrimp tartlet: $4.75

Crab meat canapés: $4.20

if we remove anything from the menu it would be this - the cost is high - she told us to estimate 3 pieces pp for the coctail hour but we might end up only ordering enough for 2 pp or something

- Starter

Pistachio crusted goat cheese salad with hibiscus: $12.50

-Entrée: $60.00

Combo Fish of the day wrapped in potato string, mushrooms and zucchini with citric sauce

&

Beef tenderloin filled with blue cheese and almonds

since we loved everthing we tasted the chef suggested doing a combo of the fish and beef dishes for everyone - at the time it sounded like a good idea but we have since decided it would be best to offer the dishes seperately and allow guests to select what they want to order when they RSVP - I emailed Emeline to get the cost of the dishes seperately. I will keep you posted.

-Dessert: $8.00

Cheese cake

-Kid Menu: $15.00

Chicken fingers and French fries

The bar will be international bar on consumption.

Hi Sarah,

How did your trip down to Cabo go? I haven't been on the site for a few days...did you post anything about the trip?

I am trying to wrapped up all my details with Emeline as we are close to a month away!

Your menu sounds great!

Hi Sarah,

I just read your review....it was great. So of course I had many questions...in reponse to it. But your review made me so happy!! I am happy everything went wonderful!

I am so excited but I left alot of small things for the end....so I am trying to get everything done (table assignments, welcome note for bag, finish bag, printed menus....etc.) We are leaving on the 3rd, so a month from today. I can't believe it.

Kristi,

You are so close! How exciting.

I can't wait to hear about it.
Are you expecting many?

OK I heard back from Emeline today and the cost for the fish is $23.50 pp and the cost for the beef is $47.25 pp. Of the reponces I have gotten back from our evite it looks like more people are going with fish over beef (fine with me since the cost is less!) We have 17 adults and 6 children confirmed RSVP's so far....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
