We had a few small items (like pens and sticky notes), and people liked our welcome/activity passport books. The biggest hit was DEFINITELY the bubba kegs!

Thank you for the feedback!!  I really like to know what people used.  Did you have meds in your mini kit?  That is what I'm debating about now.

I would highly recommend the meds! Just about everyone used at least two things or more out of our survival kits! Lol

Thank you!!!  I am thinking I will include some kind of OTC pain meds & Pepto for sure!  Did you include Bandaids and did you feel like people used them?  I was thinking maybe I would put 2 in each or something like that.

I've been discussing what to put in my bags with my frequent cruiser family and all agree that meds are a must. On our first family cruise, we all got some stomach bug on last day, so pepto would have been very welcome there. On my brothers last cruise, they hit some rough water for a day and everyone got seasick. Doctor, guest services, and gift shops all ran out of Dramamine. Those are things you hope aren't needed, but are definitely good to have nearby if they are needed.

bubba kegs are a definite must, it seems.  i'm just debating whether to make a special beach tote or get something cheaper if people wont really use them.  We only have to make between 13-15 so it's not too bad.  He wants to put walkie talkies in there but think that could be expensive & would anyone use them?

We did put band aids in there and most people used them...that's an easy one though...just hit Dollar Tree for those. Electrolytes were LOVED by everyone as well so the Zip Fizz and Propel went quickly too. The other surprising thing most women used were the nail files we put in there!

I went with the tumblers from the dollar store that i had customized waterproof stickers put on, believe i posted a pic on this thread....every single person used them, including us ( and we had brought our bubbas too! but never used them that week) i liked that i could afford the tumblers, the custom beach bags (from vistaprint) which many people used and the survival, hangover and snack kits. i even had custom playing cards made, but had I gone with my original plan of buying bubba s for everyone then I wouldn't have been able to do it all :) Our tumblers, the key room holders, and the kits were all used, it was amazing to see it all get used....especially the meds, they came in very handy.

We decided to order these stadium cups with lids and straws to put in the Welcome bags for everyone to use at the resort and a gift to take home.  They were around $60 for all of that + we ordered the clip art file to be used which was $19 and then they charged us $30 to use our own art.  We didn't really like any of their art. Not as cheap as we wanted, but we have about 40 people, so bringing anything bigger is not an option. Plus, we don't think keeping their drink ice cold is really a necessity.  The cups they give at the bars are not insulated.  If you need to keep it cold for longer, maybe you need to drink faster.  msnwink.gif These will also be a lot easier to pack.  Also getting an individual packaged marg mix with a personalized label on the front for $1.35 ea. to put inside the cup.  There are free bottles of tequila in each hotel room at the Riu Santa Fe so they will be able to mix up a marg in their own room or take it home.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
