Thanks for the advice!  In other words, it's easier to ask forgiveness then permission.

My advice to y'all is don't offer any of this info!!!! Don't "claim" anything...IF yes get the red light or are stopped just say its all for your wedding! If they further ask say you have a skin allergy and need these towels...but I highly doubt you'll be stopped if you play stupid (never claim things like this!) and IF you are the wedding explanation should suffice!
LOL...great advice.

So, I thought it might be helpful for people who are putting together their OOT bags to know some of the things that people liked in mine and what they didn't really use. My bags had a lot of different stuff in them. The things that people used most and were really excited for were: The Find a Word Puzzles/ Sodoku books~ A Big Hit! Decks of cards (a last minute addition that I'm glad I put in)~ it was cloudy for several days and these came in handy First Aid Kits~ the bandaids were good for people who got blisters and the Pepto bismol tablets and Motrin The things that weren't used that I could've done without were: The sunscreen with spf 30~ everyone knew they were heading somewhere sunny and packed their own Mini beach balls~ I didn't see one of these used except by my FI who kept beaning me in the head and finding it hilarious! lol Spanish for Dummies books~ as cute as they were no one read them OFF wipes~ I never saw a bug and no one mentioned anything about them I also would've added twice as many Motrins to the bags. I put in the 99 cent packs that had a total of 6 tablets in them. People used them and probably could've used more.
Cool, I didn't even think of sudoku or crossword books...

Biggest hit in my bags were the bags themselves (beach bags my friend and I sewed ourselves). EVERYONE used them and loved them. People seemed to appreciate the snacks and water, too. Had one comment about our personalized playing cards (a man, he liked them a lot), people used the koozies, and people used the group photo share site, so those cards were useful. We weren't at an all inclusive resort so it may be different for us, but those were what stood out to me as things people appreciated. In general I think the bags made people feel really welcomed, as that's the comment I got the most.

Thanks for the info. Which photo site did you use?

Did everyone do one bag for a couple or one bag for each person?  I am debating, I think it might be easier just to do one per couple, but then do you have singles and couples bags?  How does that work?  Just thinking through it.  :-)  Thanks!

I am doing one bag per room, and then putting enough goodies in each bag for everyone in the room. I am doing just regular gift bags though, not reusable beach bags or anything like that so that may make a difference

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
