I think a few brides have done that. You could go to an Arts & Crafts store & buy the little candy organza bags & put them in there & tie them with a ribbon or just put them in the small snack size ziplocks. I think what you do depends on how many guests you're making them for. I'm not too sure if guests wouldn't think twice about using them if you packed them like that. You know people can be mighty picky sometimes!

If you want to buy individual packets, definitely try Staples or BJ's/Costco.
I got all of my meds from Staples & BJ's. For instance, Staples had a box of individually wrapped Tylenol. There were about 50 packets in the box, and each packet had 2 Tylenol. I was very surprised to find something like that at Staples. And I believe the box was about $20.
I then went to BJ's & got a box Immodium, 50 individually wrapped packets, with 2 in a packet for about $20.

I am really interested to know if guests enjoyed/ used the travel mugs as they are one of the more expensive items I was planning on putting in the bags! Thanks Kelly!
I actually wish I did some sort of cup or mug. I think it would've been great for drinks at the bar and my guests would've really liked them.

While I loved it & will certainly use it again & again, I wonder who else will really use it again, with the exception of my mother! While it made for a great beach bag as I did see my guests using it on the beach or on our shopping tours, I'd still love to know if it will get used this summer by anyone else. Maybe I should have gone with the personalized paper gift bag or god forbid, skipped putting my monogram on it & just gone with a generic Jamaica design.
Just food for thought for you brides to be!
We ended up just using aqua paper gift bags that I bought at Michael's for 37 cents each and stuck a logo sticker on the front. They were really easy to pack and then people wouldn't feel badly about throwing them out.

I bought immodium caplets and pepto tablets. The way they are packaged made it easy to separate them out but still have them be in their original packaging, if that makes sense. So, the pills weren't loose. I just wrote out the directions on a clear label and stuck them to business cards I had leftover from a Vista print order from other wedding stuff. That way everyone had the directions too.

They were easy to work with & I have no complaints.

I just found out that there was a 10% off of everything promo code for Discount mugs, but it ended yesterday!

I guess I'll keep checking. Thanks for the tip!

I got personalized mugs for my oot bags! They are beer steins with our logo on them. They turned out great! They did a customized order of only 50 instead of the usual 100. I don't know how to post the link but if you look under the oot stuff and look for the thread personalized mugs. On there are links and pictures for any of you that might want to check out that site.

Hits

-Bubba Mugs (These were the biggest hit and used by all our guests everyday)

-Cards

-Bite sized chocolates for snacks

-First Aid Kits (Bandaids and Meds)

-Ugly green material (This was handed out before we left and was tied onto everyones suitcases. Then at the airport, a few people went over and started grabbing everones suitcases just by seeing the ugly green material)

-Bath puff (Since wash cloths are a rare commodity in the Dominican, everyone enjoyed their body puff thingy)

Misses

-Bath bombs (I made these and didn't even hand them out to most people as I forgot at first and then the humidity down there got into them and they didn't fizz all that great anymore. My daughter and my sister used most of them up)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
