The pashminas-the women loved them, especially for late nights in the lobby, on the beach & in restaurants for dinner.
And yes, the travel mug was the biggest hit by far! Everywhere we went on the resort, my guests had their mugs. It was very convienent and well used at the bar!

This is a GREAT thread! I'm working on my OOT bag stuff now.
Just wondering, JUSTUSTWO, since you did the flip flops...how did you know what size to get everyonehuh.gif I really want to do the flip flops, but, we're having over 70 people and I can't figure out what sizes to get everyone!
Any suggestions?

Have you posted any photos of your OOT bags. Did you get plain travel mugs or ones that were personalized?
Here are a few pics that I found from my planning thread. I did get personalized mugs. I see that the pics are kinda fuzzy so I'll include the link to the album on Shutterfly:

This is the OOT bag with the flip flops, travel mug & some mini body butters that I had:

Here's just the OOT bag which came out way better than the pic shows:

Here's the personalized travel mug:

And a picture of the first aid kit (which had the band aids, meds, chapstick & hand wipe packets) & personalized pens that we ordered as well (ignore the ceremony fans). I also must say that the personalized pens were a hit too.

Basically I had everyone's email address so I just sent out 1 email to everyone asking for their size in t-shirts & flip flops. I mean it may have taken the surprise out of what they would be getting but I really wanted to make sure that I had the correct sizes. It worked very well but then I only had 30 guests to do this for, not 70! But I don't think you'll have a problem.

If you do go this route, just make sure that the store that you are buying them from uses sizes in numbers as opposed to Small, Medium, Large. You don't want to ask your guest for sizes in #'s only to find that the store has them in S,M,L! I had to learn this the hard way! LOL
And also ask that they respond by a certain date so that you're prepared & only have to make 1 trip.

I also made sure to do this when the flip flops were on sale for 2 for $5 and the store manager gave me an extra discount since I bought so many.

Cute idea!

Thanks for this thread. I'm making my own English/Spanish books (or my mom, is). We did buy the suduku books, though.

A few BDW brides have bought travel cups & then personalized them with waterproof labels & markers.
They came out really cute. I would do a few as tests to see how well they hold up before you buy them in large quantities.

Here's a thread that I found that may give you some ideas:

I knew someone on here had done this before so I went looking for the thread & found it.
This thread has the pics of the mugs:

And this one tells how she did it & what materials she used:

Morgan did these as well. Take a look at her planning thread:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
