My OOT Bags~ the big hits and the things that weren't used

Recommended Posts

Was wondering if they have a good selection of candies and disposable cameras at MP...I may add more!! As if now I am doing paper gift bags, since my ladies attending are very particular! Adding mini maraca key chains to the handles and of course palm tree decor. Playing cards, Advil packets, sleep masks, travel candle, mini massagers, and hopefully candy!! Lol our travel agent already sent great kits with the final paperwork including sunscreen, bug spray and luggage tags :)

Any advice would be welcome...I have fans for the ceremony, maracas for the reception and hopefully disposable cameras (Fiance's request)

My fiance wants disposable cameras on the tables at the reception too!

This may be a TOTALLY dumb question... But where do you even get them developed anymore? Just blacks or Costco and like?? Like normal digital to print?

We are going to use a hashtag instead and give everyone a "scavenger hunt" of things to photograph. Figuring people will all have smart phones and it's easier (and cheaper haha)

I told my fiance that since we are using wedpics and everyone has a camera or iphone I think it is pretty useless but he wants them! We shall see who wins. I would rather spend that $50 on cameras on the hangover kits he know wants to do. I was not going to do the OOT, but now I have cups and will just fill those with some items.

Yes or even Walmart would do them.  I would have to assume so as you can still buy them! lol!   To be honest I haven't checked but feel confident they would.

Side question -  I saw some brides on here buy large bottles of meds and divy them up in the small baggies.  Yay or nay? I am not sure I want to do it, but it would sure help with cost and the ability to find things! Canada sucks for those sample sized things.

Since I am putting the things in my cups, I thought - advil, hand sani, tums, pepto (maybe), gum, bandaids, and a treat.  (haha assuming this will all fit in a tumbler)

On my wedding website (and probably in my newsletter as well) I listed for people to make sure to bring pepto, immodium, rx, etc.

Unless they are still individually sealed I would say nay. There is no way I would take any medications that weren't clearly identified. The only thing I think where this could work is the sealed sleeves of peptobismal. I think you can buy a large box and inside are sleeves of 3 or 4 pepto in original packs.

Staples has pretty good pricing for individual pack meds though! They sell them to places that have bathroom vending machines!

I thought nay too!  Some ladies on here put them in baggies and gave a list of what they were. Obviously some are pretty self explanatory!  Most people I know would just take a pill from me that I say is Tylenol if they asked, but since it's a gift I totally get it.

Shut up! I was just on Staples website and didn't see anything (I am sure I was - god I have been on a lot of websites lately)  Did you see one in Calgary who sells them? cause I will drive across the city if I have too lol.

ETA: I went back to Staples and looked and yes they sell it, but it's all household type packing, nothing sample/individual size :(

My dollar store vent. 1oz hand sanitizer $1. Pack of 2 3oz hand sanitizer $1.25. The bigger bottles just won't work as I'm filling my stuff inside our tumblers but how dumb they'd be cheaper.

But if anyone wants 'wet wipes' Dollarama has a box of 24 individual wipes for $1.25. Not name brand but a good price :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
