I totally agree about the money we're brining in for the resort. Honestly, for that price I would say only if they would have shopped, bought and assembled all the stuff would I consider paying that kind of money.

You could find out the times your guests are to be arriving a meet them after they check in at the pool or lobby or whatever. Or just do it at dinner each night. I say you save that money and get yourself a massage!

Haha now I REALLY love that massage idea!!

We packed other things but not sure if they were used or not:

Update we just got back from our wedding in the DR the Bins made it!  No extra charges and they had so many bag handlers helping we didn't have to try to lug them around ourselves well worth the money we tipped the guy.  The Bag handler even helped us go through Dominican Customs with out being checked.  It was easy and we left the bins at our hotel when we left so we didn't have to lug them back.  the bins also help save on weight as the larger suitcases weigh 12 lbs with nothing in them.

Along the lines of the massage ideas above, we are noticing a trend with our clients of giving their guests spa credits, vouchers or gift cards as welcome/thank you gifts! It is a fantastic idea if you do not want to have to bring everything down with you, assemble, then pay to have distributed to your guests rooms. Plus, it gives them something very relaxing to do and is really appreciated by your guests who are traveling so far for your big day!

Happy Planning!

400 Got our discountmugs.com today, I'm so impressed and happy with them. Rather than doing OOT 'bags', we are just stuffing our goodies into the mugs.
that is a great idea!!! how many mugs are you packing and what is the weight per mug?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
