    Ignore him lol I had one boss tell me I was too chatty! I had to walk through 4 offices to get to my attic where i was on my own ALL the time lol so I said ok and I used to walk through the door say hello, go into my office lock the door and put my headphones on lol apparently that was acceptable!!

    You can't win with some people as long as your work is done ignore him bugger all he can do to you lol

      As long as your are getting your job done who cares! I can't believe he stopped into your office to ask you that! WTF? There is nothing more annoying than fake small talk when the other person isn't even interested/listening - ya know! Oh well - at least everything else went good in your review!

        My work is so much like that too.. everyone here is so clique'ey; it give me high school flashbacks all the time! I have one very good friend that I work with in my office and that is it. I am very friendly and polite to everyone; it's just that when I am at work - I want to work (and go on here.. he he) and when I am not at work, I don't want to hang out with the clique'ey girls and talk about their hair extensions, botox and $1000 shoes.

        I agree with the others; as long as you get your job done.. are seen as approachable, then socializing shouldn't be a component of your job performance.

          That is just crazy. Who cares if you are "friends" with your coworkers. As long as it isn't interfering with your ability to communicate with them when needed what does he care?

            So, here's my update: I am now on a VOLUNTEER COMMITEE for our "Day of Caring"....(it's a day where the company likes to give back to the community, so we decided to do a Bowl for Kids event).

            SO THERE, MR. BOSS MAN!!!!

            CAN YOU BE MORE SOCIAL THAN THAT?!?!? Lol.

                    I don't mind being social at work, but it seems that all people want to do at work is gossip! Not so fun!
