my seamstress convinced me i should have a little gap between my dress and my bod bc if it were any tighter, it would pull too much. do you have a gap? i feel like it looks too big but i'm afraid to ask her to take it in more bc i don't want to 'hang' over it. it feels comfortable but you can see a small space btween me and the dress...

I won't know for sure until I go for my last fitting tomorrow, but my seamstress altered it very snug last time I was there. I don't even have a ton of breathing room, much less a gap! But, I have very small breasts, so there's not much to hold the dress up.

Well, I might be useless since i haven't even bought my dress, but what the heck! lol

How big is the space? I think you should put on your dress and wear it around for like half an hour, sit down, walk around, dance - everything that you would do and see if you feel too sucked in or restricted.

Is it an incredibly noticable space?

I was uncomfortable with the initial alteration on my gown - I felt like I was going to fall out if I leaned over. So, my seamstress sewed very strong elastic into the sides of the inside of the top of the bodice. It worked out perfectly. It fit snugly, so I felt secure, but a had some give so I didn't feel like I was suffocating.

To show you the difference, here is a pic pre-elastic:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
