Are you paying for your bridal party's hotel?

Recommended Posts

We didn't pay for any of the WP's accomodations either - I didn't even think about it honestly - like someone else said they are getting a vacation too! We got the BM's and GM's gifts of course and that was enough!

Okay, good I'm not alone.. I don't think my bridal party expected us to pay for anything but I just got worried we were breaking some huge etiquette rule :).

We are going to get them nice gifts - but haven't figured out what yet...

I agree with you - I am just going to get some extra nice gifts. We can't afford to pay for everyone's trip. No one has really even mentioned it though - so it wasn't expected at all! They for the most part paying for their own clothes as well - I bought the ties and pocket silks for the men, and if I decide I want the girls to have an accessory, I'll pay for that as well.

I'm with you girls. As much as I'd love to be able to put up our BP, we just can't swing it. I never got the feeling that anyone expects it either. I do want to get really nice gifts for the BP though & for those of you that have bought/plan to buy their wedding attire, that's a really nice gift!!

I think you should do whatever you want that is within your budget. If you can afford to, great; if not, then that's fine too. FH and I are paying for all of our guests accommodations, but that is because we are renting the entire venue out for the week so we have the ability to accommodate all of our guests, but we are letting them know that this is our wedding favor to them.

Here's what we've done so far:

+ Paid for MOH's room deposit

+ Paid for Makeup/Hair Stylist's room deposit

+ Paid for 1 extra night of shared hotel room between MOH and Makeup/Hair Stylist

Originally I had 4 BMs including MOH so I wasn't sure how this was going to work out, but now I'm down to 2. So I'm now planning on also buying both of their dresses. Plus a little something special for each of them as a gift.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
