I just searched the PV forum for info on OOT bags. I wasn't able to find anything. What is everyone doing for their OOT bags? I want to assemble them myself. Ideally, I would like to buy everything (or almost everything) here and then ship a box down to PV. I'm nervous that the box will get lost in-transit. What have others done? I just don't want to spend a day down there shopping for/assembling the bags if I can avoid it. Thanks for your help!

There is actually a whole subforum for OOT. Most people don't ship due to no guarantee you will get it. Must of us pack everything in bags and check them. You get 2 bags per person and alot of us either pay extra for another bag, or disperse them among our family travelling

thanks!! does anyone have PV-specific horror/success stories? I was thinking of going to Sam's or the market to pick up some thing as well.

          Hi Marisol,

Since we were already loaded up with luggage for ourselves and our two kids, we ended up having family members each take a little down. The morning before everyone arrived me and one of my BM's who were there already assembled everything. Both she and I brought all of the stuff for the OOT bags and we had other family members take stuff that wasn't OOT bag related.

I don't think we added anything to our bags once we got there. You can, it just depends on what you want in the bags KWIM? I was concerned with going thru customs with all that stuff, but we got the green light so all was well!

We are having our wedding in RM but we plan on buying like small bottles of mexican tequila once we get there to add. We're also going to costco to get bottles of water and candy. We aren't going to assemble until we get here, just cause its easier to pack things separately than a bunch of full bags.

My TA told me that usually FedEx and DHL are reliable to get it there (I am thinking of doing the same thing). Of course, you need a reliable place to deliver it to! I know some hotels won't accept packages.
