Is anyone switching Sandals resorts after the wedding? We were looking over pricing and catalogs and are thinking about getting married in at the Sandals Bahamas and then the day after the wedding flying to the Regency in St Lucia. That way it's cheaper for our guests, and we don't have to worry about people staying and ruining our honeymoon! The sandals brochures all say you can do this, but has anyone done it, how does it work and how cost effective is it for the bride and groom?

I am getting married at Beaches Boscobel in Ocho Rios and after the wedding honeymooning at Sandals Grande also in Ocho Rios. Beaches is owned by Sandals. We are switching because Beaches is a family resort and we needed at have that flexability. Plus wanted to have a honeymoon also. I am getting married on Friday and we are moving to the other resort on Sunday and our guests are leaving Sunday. So it works out. Cost effective. It doesn't matter. I am paying for a room regardless. Sandals we are paying more, but that is because of the room we chose.

If you feel up to flying again, go for it. I love Jamaica and am very content in staying there.

It's quite easy to do- we do it with our couples all of the time!

You can hop between resorts on the same island or between different islands- you can even do 4 nights at one property and 2 at another and have that count for the free wedding (if you are looking at the free goverment fees it would need to be in the concierge room category for the 6 nights-this pertains to Sandals not Beaches!)

The price will be the rate of the rooms at each resort plus the cost of airfare.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
