Yes, I did end up ordering an album. She did a great job. I really hope it gets here in time. I was also super nervous at first, but totally relaxed as it went on.

I can't believe our time is almost here! It sure has flown by! We are doing our legal day this Saturday, and then it's less than a month until we leave! Wow.

Watch? You were wearing a watch?

One week from now I leave.

The resort we're staying at offers a unique service. Their marketing guy will call your significant other and read them a "love" letter that you write. I thought was a cool idea so I scheduled a call for Brandon the morning we leave while I'm out running around. I just want him to know that even though I'm stressed and things are frantic (because I know I will be) I haven't forgotten the real reason we're going and how much I love and appreciate him. I'm excited to see how he responds :-)

B's shoes came in yesterday. They are literally pimp shoes.... I LOVE them. It gives him a fun flair to his outfit. I don't know how I'll feel about him wearing them on our TTD....but we'll see.

Vikki, I agree they are pimp shoes!!! LOL!!! But very much in style!!!

Erika, I will have to send you a PM for the pics because I'm not sure if I will work up the courage to post them. I'm really nervous to see how they come out!!

My veil came in yesterday which is not at all like the one I say at the store but it's close enough for 1/2 the prices. I think it will have to do!!!

I also order mini Patron tequila bottles for my wedding favors because I couldn't find a supplier in Cabo. Do you think I'm going to have any issues going through customs?

Those shoes are SWEET! Where'd you find them??

Two weeks and two days til I leave. Three weeks until the wedding. Two days until my legal ceremony. EEK! So excited. This is it girls, it's all coming together and our hard work is about to pay off!

~YAY US!!~

Went and got the marriage lisence yesterday, then to Costco to price out food platters for the AHR. Got home and needed a night to relax. Painted my nails. Vegged. It was niiiiiiiiiice. Finally feeling pretty confidant that things are under control. Whew.

OMG I am really starting to stress out. Mainly bc my fi never wants to talk ab $$$ issues which we are clearly having. I don't want to talk to any family or friends ab it bc it's personal and since they all have to pay for the trip they could care less ab our $$$ probs. But it's really getting to the point where I can't handle it any more. I feel like we bit off more than we can chew with this wedding. While we haven't gone over budget I think we budgeted too high. Clearly when we set our budget I was working 2 jobs and my fi had a different part time job where he made at least double what he makes at this one. A couple months into the planning we decided that I could quit my parttime. Well literally a week later he lost his parttime and eventually got a new one but that really messed everything up and now we are seriously struggling to pay this thing off. I can't even enjoy this time bc i'm so stressed about paying for it all.

Brian has no relationship with his family and normally the grooms family would pay for the rehearsal dinner. Well we decided to do brunch to make it cheaper and I thought my parents were gonna foot the bill, but they just did the shower and really can't afford it so as of yesterday (rehearsal is Sat) i was told that we need to pay for it and we really don't have it.

I am honestly so sick of this and i just really wish we went to the courthouse or something bc this is getting really old and I'm sick of the stress of handling this alone basically. Sorry for being so negative. I'm just so exhausted and really needed to vent since I can't talk to anyone about this.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
