Calling all November 2009 Brides!

Well, I didn't think we were going to having any bachelor parties, but my FI will be having one tomorrow night.

 

I said well, at least one of us is having one.lol

 

Told him to have fun, drinks lots, but he'd better behave... this isn't a last "hoorah", so no touching or whatever with other girls and the girls cannot kiss or whatever either (figure I'd cover both ends incase he says will I wasn't doing it, they were..lol)

 

He figures they will end up at the strip bar, then said what if the guys want to get me a lap dance, then I said, you don't have to do anything the guys tell you too, and I'm not particular fond of the idea of lap dances.

 

I hope his bachelor party doesn't turn into one that I have heard bad stories about. But I'm not going to think about.

 

On a side note, one of the girls at work wants to throw a party now for me since no one else set one up for me... I told don't worry about me not having one, but she's already sending emails out.

And try to find yourself something to do tomorrow night, like get together with a gf or two. Having the company will help to keep your mind off what FI is up to. That will prevent you from getting all wound up and ready for a battle when he returns!

 

I got the dreaded 'We lost the groom' phonecall on my FI's stag night. lol. Can't get much worse than that. I was pretty happy when he showed up at home after having walked halfway across the city from the bar.

 

Don't sweat it though. He wants to be with you, so much that he's entering into a vow of forever with you. Whatever happens, or doesn't happen, won't have any bearing on your future together. Boys will be boys, ya know? He'll appreciate you being cool about it, and love you all the more for it.

My fi informed me last night as well that he's having a bach party. We're like bff so I'm like ok have fun for me and use protection hahaha. He was almost offended that I 'd think he'd sleep with someone. I was j/k but he almost didn't wanna go. I'm just like since none of your friends are going on the trip you all deserve this. My will be going out with my girls in Puerto Rico but I need to curl my hair up for the wedding so I won't being staying out very late.

So my OMG moment of the day. I went for my final fitting and dress retrieval today. My gown was a mess. The hem was horrible, beads were off the back of the gown and my bra still showed. So they will be very busy tonight. The manager repinned (after the idiot seamstress had already repinned it but it looked a sloppy mess) my hem to be sown over again and they will be sowing in my bra so that it won't show. The bad part is I planned on wearing that $67 strapless bra over the course of the trip and now I won't be able to... I need to purchase another strapless bra but i hafta find something cheaper. I will go to pick it up tomm. I hope its fine. We leave on next fri so we have some time to play with but still... I can't believe that the beads were still off the gown. (honestly I knocked them off when i was sneaking and trying on my gown at home) but I told them they were off at my first fitting and they still didn't put them on 3 fittings later. Oh did I tell you all at my last fitting the seamstress broke my zipper so she cut it out my dress to get me out of it... I was horrified but that part looked perfect today haha.

Oh wow, Ashley! Good for you for not having a panicky fit at the seamstress'! Not sure I'd be so composed, but then again, composure isn't really my strong suit at the moment. lol.

 

Had to cancel a date with a gf last night to squeeze in some much needed down time. Did some lingerie shopping and got myself a giant purse (since women get both a carry on and a purse, I figured my purse had better be as large as possible, lol). Love the shopping therapy. Treated myself to a couple glasses of wine, ANTM, and an early bed time. Then... more nightmares. Ugh. FI's had to be doing lots of late night cuddling lately! Any tips for quelling nightmares? Maybe the mommies have some tips??

I've been having nightmares/anxiety attacks/just can't sleep issues for the past few nights as well. I plan to take a nytol tonight and wish for the best.

Ash I am too! I am worrying about stuff for some reason - like missing the ceremony, its weird.

Oh I have been taking ambien for 3 weeks to sleep, those are magical little pills.

I'm on presribed sleeping pills... insomniac apparently... so no worries about not getting any sleep here. lol

 

Anyway, my friend is officially having a get together for me tomorrow night... so I'm not expecting many people to show that much short notice. Just drinks at her place and maybe go out dancing. At least I won't be stuck at home I guess...lol Mark will probably make a "surprise" visit... maybe. He'll be making sure guys are not hanging off of me... he's just as bad as I am...lol But I'm not like that anyway, and expect the same from him.

OMG Ladies so exciting. We thought we were down to owing our WC about $6500. Turns out when she sent us our final invoice last night we only owe her ab $4100. Freaking awesome. We have over an additional $2000 spending $$$ (we already had our spending $$ put to the side over now we have waaay more to add to the pot). So exciting.
