Calling all November 2009 Brides!

Ashely....oh have I been there before! Isnt it crazy how planning a wedding can take you through so many emotions! Sounds like things are working themselves out, just like everyone says they are. Not easy to just go on that sometimes though! LOL

 

Vikki, I love those! Do you mind posting the etsy sellers name? I may just have them shipped to the house we are renting down in Florida.

 

So Im trying to find a salon to get my hair done at, and cant find any reviews. I guess Ill just go on my gut feeling. I need to get a pedicure badly...and trying to figure out when. Do you think it would be okay before? Or maybe I should do that when we get there?

Less than 3 weeks before we arrive... WOO HOO! Though honestly it doesn't feel like we are leaving that quickly. Maybe not everything has totally sunk in yet dunno, it's weird. It still feels like it should be far away.

 

Anyway, I've ordered some chocolate seashells for the wedding cake. The resort cake was going to be pretty plain... white with some flowers on top. So I though the shells would look jazz it up more. So it should be here the first week of November, then I just have to repack with the ice packs and box it when we go.

 

I'm getting my hair trimmed next week and will probably get some highlights as well.

 

Will probably get gel nails done (since my nails are not femmine looking at alll...lol) and definitely a pedicure (wearing heavy steel toe boots all day take a toll on your feet I find).

 

Hoping to go to Edmonton for some shopping... need more dresses... maybe another bathing suit.

 

My MOH hasn't found a dress yet... and is complaining on her facebook about it. I wish she didn't wait last minute (didn't care what type of dress as long as it was a cretain color). FI says I made a big mistake when I picked her for my MOH. But whatever... This whole wedding may put a strain on our friendship, we'll see. I've paid for everything but her room (her dad paid for that) and she still complains.

 

Might not get the TTD done in Mexico, Claudia doesn't think a Cenote will be available on Sunday or will be extremely busy. So maybe I'll look into a photog in St Lucia... won't hold my breathe on getting it done there.

 

I need to start taking pics of the OOT bags and items. FI liked the OOT bags and thinks everyone will like them too.

 

And the emails from the airlines about changes to the flights... geez, hope they stop soon.

jpitts78, if you come into the city, check out Aqua (the La Vie en Rose swimwear store) at West Ed. All thier suits are on sale right now! My girlfriend picked up a suit and an extra bikini top for $45! I got two cover ups for $35!

 

Tomorrow is my legal wedding! YAY! FI keeps having to remind me that it's not our 'wedding'. lol, but I'm milking this for all its worth!

Annie..I get the dress today! Ill try to take some pictures and post them. The crinoline is weird..its all crinkled from the packaging. I think Ill need to take it in to get steamed. Hey ladies.

My swimsuit from Victoria secret arrived. I kinda hate it but I plan to keep it.

I basically finished my packing last night. Then I went on airtan to check out baggage prices. OMG we're spending at least $130 each way on luggage (that $260 for luggage and we only spent $353 for the flights. For that price we can order more tickets and have our luggage sitting next to us to the plane lol) . That's freaking ridiciulous IMO. Oh well.

Our Tshirts are done so I will go pick them up this afternoon. Then I have the awesome task of distributing them. Prayerfully after our rehearsal brunch on Sat the FI and I will go and check out rings for him... So sad that we are so last minute with this...

We're delegating some of our stuff out to the bridal party and family so we don't have to pay for extra baggage, maybe that's an option for you guys??

I got a letter in the mail from my mom today. It started out with "To my lovely daughter, soon to be a lovely bride" and I instantly knew it was going to make me cry. And I wasn't disappointed. I wanted to include a couple of her words to me.

 

"Such a privilege to be the Mother of the Bride! To be part of the fun and discovery of the unique path to your wedding day. A path I never got to take with my Mom; which makes this so much more meaningful for me."

 

I've gotten a small gift for her and was planning to write a letter of my own so I guess we both think the same way.

 

 

I think this whole thing is sinking in, I'm getting married!

Aww Vikki that's so sweet. You only have a few more days. That's really a special letter you must save it in a scrapbook so something.

 

Our shorts just came in. They have our lgog on them in all green. However I had to recreate our logo like 5 mins before i met with the guy to give him the logo and deposit. Of course i thought it as perfect. But when i got the 45 shirts today I noticed the the word Tortola isn't on the correct angle. So sad. Oh well Hopefully no one will notice. They were only $6 a piece :-(
