Calling all November 2009 Brides!

Recommended Posts

I know what you mean! I've spent all weekend doing last minute wedding stuff and I'm making progress. But I'm still freaked out!

I can't imagine doing all this and recovering from surgery! Erika, how are you feeling?!

Erika Surgery? Did I miss something?

Oh Vikki I forgot to update you but Cuji is great. She is back to her normal self. When we took her to the vet he said that if she had been wandering around the entire time or even a large amount of time with no food source than he could understand the rapid weight loss. He didn't offer any meds or anything. Just a consistent feeding schedule (I also made her chicken soup with veggies to beef her up lol). She had gained 6lbs by the appt so clearly gaining isn't hard for her lol. After that first weekend she was back to herself. We won't know her current weight til we board her for the wedding, but I'm anxious to find out. She looks like she back to or really close to her old weight.

Yes, Surgery. I had to have my nose reconstructed after the accident and the did it on Friday.

I am healing okay. pretty tired all the time.

I know it will be easier to get the house organized and start packing now that all of our house guests are gone. My mom was here after I got home from the ER, then my sis was here for a week, then my dad came for the surgery. It was nice to be so loved, but not I can turn the guest room back into the wedding room.

I bet I will feel better then.

Erika: I can only imagine the to list going through your mind. I think having your wedding room will defintely make you feel a little more at ease. Glad to hear the recovery is going good :)

So my dress should arrive today. It was here yesterday but I missed the DHL guy so had to sign to let him leave it on the back porch today. So anxious about that!

I also completed a few DIY projects, I posted them in the DIY forum...

Wow Melissa you've been such a busy bee!

It was Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend and it was my first year hosting it. That was stressful but it turned out good. The best part though was getting our wedding gift from my mum and Steve's parents. They got us a red Kitchen Aid mixer!! Woot woot! I've already used it to make brownies and I love it, love it, love it!

Erick, hope you are continuing to recover well. I think you're right about getting all sorted out. Once you have all your wedding stuff back in order you'll be so busy with that before you know it you will be fully healed.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, Ericka!

I took my bookmark DIY project to the future inlaws this weekend and got those completed! Happy day! I put some of mine and fiance's reccommended reads on one side and a Groucho Marx quote on the other. Our pale blue with a thicker white peice between to make a border, then lamenated them. Punched a hole, added ribbon and voila!

Now have to get to the DYI Spanish phrasebooks. And get organized. And clean the house before we get a housefull of company this weekend! Fiance is having his stag, so I'm hosting a wine and cheese night at the house for the ladies! :)

We leave in 15 days. And I am good for absolutely NOTHING at work. I have a sneaking suspicion this lack of productivity will continue to worsen as I check the days off my calendar. Thank god my boss is on vacation!

*sigh*

I think most of my stuff is done. Just have the welcome letters, gifts for the "moms" and getting the wedding music into one place.

I am just sooooo ready to go.

Thanks for the speedy recovery wishes. I got some stuff sorted out last night. Finished the programs, bag stickers and thank you tags. Labeled the hangover kit bags, just waitin on the meds to arrive.

I also finished my welcome letter today. Just need to print them out when i get to work.

Tonight I am going to get my recpetion names on the template so I can print those next week also.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
