Calling all November 2009 Brides!

Recommended Posts

Jgammagirl, one word for you: HAAAAWWWWT!!

Vikki, good luck with everything!! I hope it all goes according to plan and you have a great time! Enjoy every moment and remember that the glitches oftem make the most memorable moments, so take it all in stride. Remember, the most important part is that you and your fiance say your vows. Then get busy. wink.gif

You ladies are getting me oh-so-excited! I've still got 10 sleeps to go! ERG! Seems like forever! Am trying to get our music figured out now. Anyone have any not-so-typical recommendations?

Tonight is my cut/color night. :)

AHHHHH!! Melissa! SOO jealous! I offer you the same words of wisdom I gave to Vikii above! Enjoy every moment!

Keira, I'm getting EVERYTHING waxed (YIKES!) and my toenails done before I go. Then we've booked a ladies spa day at the resort the day before the wedding for nails and relaxing.

EDRBride, I've been having wedding nightmares, too! Or not sleeping at all, not sure which is worse....

jetsbride, how did I not realize until now that you're from Edmonton?!

I go to Mudhoney Salon on 124th Street and 108th ave. My stylist is named Sarah and she's AWESOME with my hair and oh-so lovable. The phone number is (780) 758-6155.

I warn you, getting my hair done is one thing that I treat myself to, so a cut/color runs about $200 before tip. But they don't color your hair at the mirror, they take you to this big table in the back that's got magazines and fresh muffins and fruit and they serve you coffee/tea/lattes. For me, it's totally worth it to splurge on myself once in awhile.

Your planning thread is awesome Erika!!! You look fabulous by the way, healing up very nicely!!!

Thanks amandaseth for the info. I am definately going to have to try Mudhoney Salon, sounds awesome!! I might have to wait until my next cut/color though, that is pricey!!! I do like to splurge for hair cuts/colors every now and again but the last few times I have done it I have had terrible experinces. Paying like $250 to get it done and leaving unhappy with what i got.

That sounds like a nice idea. I was trying to get my girls together before we leave but that was a bust. I'm doing a bikini and eyebrow wax (you're much braver then I am) and then I'm in for some serious treatments. I'm doing an 1 1/2 massage, a 1 hour body wrap thingy (has anyone done something like this?) and a 1 hour pedicure. I'm expecting to experience heaven on earth. lol.

I'm getting Milk & Honey Body Wrap this is what the spa's website says it is...

"Submerge your senses. After a thorough exfoliation using an aromatic sea salt infused with revitalizing essential oils, the body is enveloped in a warm Milk & Honey Wrap. While resting, enjoy a neck and shoulder massage. Concludes with a generous application of our Golden Caviar Body Lotion that will leave your skin glowing. Cleopatraâ€s favourite and ours too!"

Just reading this again is making me excited. Move over Cleopatra, Keira is the new girl in town. hahaha.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
