Calling all November 2009 Brides!

Recommended Posts

Yes, SgtPepperette -- get your hair and makeup done for your photo shoot -- make up will make a difference, and you should definitely get it done.

Blow up as much as you want -- your day is coming up fast, and although I'm 3 weeks out, I feel overwhelmed as well, so go for it!

Also, congratulations to you and all the early November brides! Our big month is right around the corner! OMG, I can't believe it, and I can't breathe when I think about it.

Taping of the boobs - One of my BM's has larger boobs that typically require a bra. She has taped hers before and will be doing so on our wedding day. She prefers it to wearing a strapless bra and says that it's not too bad taking the tape off. I suggest sneaking into the washroom and replacing the tape with nipple tassles. hahaha.

Trash the dress - Personally, I like the au natural look for the TTD sessions. It gives it a "real" feel rather then a posed or "all dolled up" look which I think can be really hot when you're taking such unique photographs. I say natural looking make up (you don't want to cover up those cute freckles) and a light and flowing hairstyle (maybe a light wavy style).

Melissa, that's what this forum is for!! Blow up all you need to!!

Personally, I think the dress looks great! I'm also going to be taping my ladies, but I've never done it before, so will likely do a trial. Also, I've got something called 'Dry-sol' which I get over the counter at the pharmacy (no prescription needed). It's a liquid in a tube that you dab on your armpits at night, and the next day-- no sweat!! I was thinking I'd use it on the area I'm putting the stickers on, too, to prevent them from sliding off because of sweating too much! Check out Youtube for DIY hairstyles, I found a couple that I've been working on to save myself the $$ for my TTD and AHR. And I agree with Keira, go natural with the makeup. It will look less contrived...

Ok ladies you all will be so happy to know that I just finished taking pics for my planning thread. I'm actually at 2 weeks today. But I'm going to hold off until thurs nite. I want to get pics of the gm gifts that arrive tomm and my final fitting is Thurs and I want you all to see me in my gown (the model on the website is too thin and doesn't do the gown justice. They need someone curvy like me to show you what the gown is really supposed to look like hahha) j/k.

OMG I had the worst nite last nite and I didn't sleep a wink. All I could think ab was the wedding and I didn't even go to sleep til my fi left out this morning. Then one of my foster parents called my cell at 8:15. Which is so annoying they know we don't start work til 9 (which means I wake up at 8:45) yet they call early for some reason and then in the message say "I know you don't start work til 9 but..... " So freaking annoying. So anyway I've been dead tired all day. I had to take one of my clients to the hospital bc she's addicted to pain meds and she needed a fix (now clearly she covered that all up but... She starts counseling on thurs so.... I'm so horrible I've been working with this young lady for 3 years and the fact that she is addicted to pain meds really pisses me off, bc she's such great girl and has so much potential ) and I was horrified bc I really don't wanna die from H1N1 before my wedding. I sat there in a mask for hours, omg the ppl in there were so sick that now i think my tummy hurts lol....

Ok I'm going to take a long hot bath and then i'm getting in the bed early.

My Wedding Shower at work is tomm. So exciting. But first I have to look at Melissa pictures lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
