Forget the ring...enjoy the day! There will be plenty of time later to figure out what to do next with the ring. How exciting. The girls with a "legal" day have the best of both worlds I think. I know it's not the same as the wedding but in someways it's like having the "magic" moment twice!

Ash....I'm sure your FI will be just as sexy as normal...even if he's a little fishy. I hope you guys have a great time today. And the 7 day calendar is always right at the bottom of the main forum page.

My luck I'll catch the freakin' H1N1 right before we leave. Anyone else totally losing it?!?! Oh, and did I mention that my FI basically does nothing wedding related except complain about the money we are spending and don't have? He still hasn't even found pants or shoes to wear and I ended up finding the groomsmen shirts and his shirt to wear.
I'm right there with you! I leave in just under three weeks, and I'm starting to finally freak out a bit! Once I get down there I'll be fine, but this is going to be a stressful few weeks!

I'm getting my hair did today!! I'm so nervous. I have short hair so I won't be doing an updo or anything like that so I need this cut and colour to be perfect. Normally, I don't really care but this time around it better be 100%

Vicki - Your man is going to be floored. Can I ask how you're going to present him with his gift? I was thinking about having my best man's girlfriend give it to him and take pictures of his reaction. She is in charge of making sure that all the boys are ready on time too so that would work out. Just wondering if there is a more creative way to give it to him.

Ok Guys great news MY BOX ARRIVED TO MY WC TODAY!!!! Yay!!! All the stressing over "my wedding in a box" is over. I can breathe easy now.

This morning we ended up seasoning and cleaning 10 fish and the other 15 we took over dirty. I know we suck but it was ok bc my parents were runiing waaay behind schedule.

OK the pissing me off moment of my day. My BM did not show up to my rehearsal. Ok I live in Baltimore my BM lives in Philly on a good day it's about and 1.5 hr drive. In bad weather (which we are in the midst of constant rain) it takes at least 2 hrs. Ok I texts her this morning around 7:45 to remind her that the rehearsal starts at 10. She freaking calls me at 8:50 sounding like she just woke up to say she's on her way (she called from her house phone), when we had already discussed her coming home last night and staying at her mother's house. I'm just like ok. At 10:15 she texts me that there is traffic in Delaware and she would be late. I'm like well you may as well just go home bc we are only rehearsing for an hour. All day she's been very apologetic but I'm like you knew of this rehearsal for 3 weeks. It was planned around HER schedule. And she didn't come. She is literally the worst BM on earth. She wasn't at my shower she made my fi and i drive to Philly to take her, her dress for the wedding only for her to come home (Baltimore) the very next weekend where a friend had her baby. I'm just so done with her.

Vikki I hafta check out that calendar.

So I want to hear ab the legal ceremonies today ladies. I hope all went well.

Well, it's official!!! I am a legally married lady!

A friend of ours is a marriage commissioner, and she performed the ceremony for us. Two of my closest friends are not able to make the trip to Mexico with us as they both just had babies, so I asked them to be our witnesses. It was perfect. We got married in our living room. My one friend told me it was the most romantic wedding she had ever been to. We even had a little champagne toast at the end!

We aren't telling anyone that we are already married. It seems weird, cuz I want to tell EVERYBODY! So I get to tell you guys, my favorite group of people that I've never met! Love my BDW ladies!

Congrats Jamie! I'm so happy for you.

Keira-I'm having my photographer take it to him-nothing really special but I want her to get the pictures.

Ash....I would be PISSED! But I can kind of understand with the weather being poor. Still, she should have let you know in advance at least.

Ok, I had a mini-meltdown yesterday. Somehow in my mind I imagined being neatly packed by Saturday (yesterday) and just working on last minute details before waltzing, stress-free out the door on Wednesday to catch the plane. My morning was supposed to start at the gym then come home, clean up the house and get the packing done.

So, I get to the gym at 7:00am and there's about 20 people standing outside. Uh Oh...this doesn't look good. So, no gym. I get home, cranky because I didn't get to work out and instead decide to finish off some cookie dough in the fridge. Can you see where this is goinghuh.gif?

After I initiated a sugar coma with the cookie dough I didn't much feel like cleaning the house so I decided to pull out the bags and start packing. By the time FI came down stairs it was like a baggage claim exploded in our living room. I had luggage open all over and kept moving things from one bag to the other. I felt so disorganized so I kept trying to make lists. In case you didn't know compulsive list making can be disastrous. I finally realized that it wasn't going to happen (this only took 4 hours) and frustrated I decided to lay down and take a nap. I didn't feel much better when I got up so FI took me out for sushi. When we got home he was really sweet and got the house picked up. We moved everything in one corner and I'm going to work on it again today.

I think PMS and wedding stress is making this a really miserable weekend. I just feel like I can't quite get control of the situation and it's such a helpless feeling. I've been fighting with FI all weekend. Not really fighting but just grumping.

Ugh....thanks for letting me ramble a bit. Wednesday seems like it's coming more quickly than it should.

Aww Vikki I hope you feel better. Just think in a few days you'll be sipping a Mai Tai on the beach in Ocho Rios... Also Did I tell you when we were in Ocho Rios last year we went ATVing with/thru Chukka Cove. OMG that was the best experience ever. Maybe you guys could book this trip before the wedding. So you can get some of the stress out. It was so beautiful. One of the best excursions I've ever been on. Here's a link to their site but we actually booked it thru Carnival cruises... Well I just got back from Chicago and my shower, It was lovely, we brought 3 bags of presents home and left a few big boxes back at my moms she is going to UPS.

But to travel with in 10 days of leaving for the wedding has me frazzeled. I need to do so much house works, wedding stuff, packing, laundry, grooming appts, 3 doc appts, crazy work week, and i havent vaccumed in 3 weeks, Nasty, cause it was broken, so I am starting to freak out a bit. but tonight I am too tired and all I can bring myself to do is BDW :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
