I sent my wedding stuff down to my wc last sat and we haven't heard anything yet. We sent it usps parcel and we didnt receive a tracking number just and insurance num. I shoulda went with fi to the post office.

My rehearsal and rehearsal brunch is next sat.

I got my hair done today from my former stylist that I made my bm hunt down (she's all the way in another state). Things went very well and we made the plans for my wedding style.

So we finished our favors last night, with the help with Erika on the wording (Thanks again!)

We did CD favors. We put some songs from the wedding that mean a lot to us, some that werent at the wedding that mean a lot to us, and than a few of our guests sent us their favorite love songs so we put those on there to.

We were able to print the cd and labels at my FI work, they have a cd making machine. And than the insert we did at home. On our ol faithful printer. We tried to use the inserts we bought from the store with their template but it kept printing lines through it. So we ended up designing it in photoshop and printing on cardstock. Cutting all of them out wasnt that much fun, but it was worth it in the end wink.gif

Of course I have pictures :)

Thanks everyone :)

I think we are getting down to the bottom of the to do list! Im said that cant be right. Almost to good to be true!

So the dress situation...you girls are going to think Im crazy but I ordered a backup. I was talking to a friend about everything, and she said...Melis...I dont think its really the dress. I think its just not you. That one comment gave me an Ah-ha moment I guess. I think I keep trying to fit into this bridal persona that isnt really me. Maybe thats why Ive never really felt like, wow this is the dress that makes me feel like a bride. I have been caught between what Melissa wants, and how weddings are suppose to be. How is that when Im doing a destination wedding in the first place?!

So after a very long day of sorting through my thoughts, I thought...what do you love? I love retro/vintage. I wanted to do more that kind of style dress in the beginning, but had a hard time finding anything. So after going back to a website thats in my favorites, I ended up ordering a tea length halter dress, a marilyn monroe style dress. It will be here on Monday, so I should be able to make a concrete decision on which dress I prefer than.

I ordered this dress....

I went with a light pink crinoline though vs the white...not sure on that one, but I wanted a little some extra to it. I figure if I dont like it I can find a crinoline locally.

So Ive been on the hunt for shoes. I want wedges since Ill be in the sand, but now my shoes will really be seen.......wedges are hard to find! I wasnt sure if I wanted cork or not.....but what do you think about these?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
